Toyota Center

Last Meeting ( Mar 19, 2019 ) Houston 121, Atlanta 105

The Houston Rockets look to continue their long-time home domination of the Atlanta Hawks when the teams meet on Saturday at the Toyota Center. Houston has won 22 of its last 27 home games against Atlanta, which has suffered nine straight setbacks as it arrives in town.

Guard James Harden leads the NBA with a 37.7 scoring average but center Clint Capela -- who ranks second in rebounding at 14.7 per game -- is doubtful and could miss his second straight game due to illness. "(Capela is) still under the weather, but you never know, day-to-day," Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni told reporters on Friday. "I think it's uncertain. He wakes up feeling better, he's going to play, but he's still hurting a little bit." Atlanta star guard Trae Young matched his career high with 49 points on Friday but the Hawks lost 105-104 in overtime to Indiana Pacers to fall to 2-8 on the road. "You take these games as lessons and you can flip it around just like that," Young said afterward. "That's my mindset. That's why I'm so excited. We've been in a lot of games and we're right there. We'll turn this thing around."

TV: 8 p.m. ET, FS Southeast (Atlanta), AT&T SportsNet Southwest (Houston)

ABOUT THE HAWKS (4-15): Young was 16-of-28 from the field -- including 8-of-15 from 3-point range against Indiana -- but the other four starters tallied just 19 points on 8-of-29 shooting. But the second-year pro wouldn't point fingers -- only at himself -- after the club's woes continued despite his enormous effort. "I guess it was good individually," Young said. "People that know me know I don't care at all. If we don't win, none of that matters. I didn't do enough. That's the way I look at it."

ABOUT THE ROCKETS (12-6): Gary Clark received 29 minutes of play in the frontcourt when Capela sat out Wednesday's 117-108 home win over the Miami Heat and he impressed with a season-best 12 points while tying his career high of eight rebounds. "Gary really gave us some nice minutes that gave us a boost," D'Antoni said. "That was a very pleasant surprise. If he can give us that and we go small, then that's found money." Forward Danuel House Jr. scored a career-high 23 versus the Heat but he is also battling an illness that led D'Antoni to label him as doubtful for Saturday's game.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. The Rockets have won the past four meetings after losing the previous seven.

2. Harden averaged 29.5 points in Houston's two wins over Atlanta last season, while Young averaged 28.5 points and 10 assists for the Hawks.

3. Atlanta F Jabari Parker scored just four points on 1-of-8 shooting against Indiana after averaging 27.5 points over the previous two games.

PREDICTION: Rockets 133, Hawks 114
