Last Meeting ( Nov 17, 2019 ) Washington 121, Orlando 125

One of the highest-scoring teams in the Eastern Conference takes on the lowest when the Washington Wizards host the Orlando Magic on Tuesday. The game will feature a contrast in styles as the Wizards run it up the floor while the Magic slow the pace, limiting opponents to an East-low 101.9 points.

Washington is second in the East in scoring offense (118.8 points) but last in scoring defense (122.7) and was crushed 150-125 on Sunday night at the Los Angeles Clippers to finish off a four-game road trip. The Wizards allowed the Denver Nuggets, Phoenix Suns, Los Angeles Lakers and Clippers to average 131 points while going 1-3 on the trip and watched the Clippers score at least 34 points in each quarter while shooting 55.3 percent from the floor in Sunday's setback. The Magic are last in the NBA in scoring average (101.3 points) but can make up for that on the defensive end at times and held the Golden State Warriors to 39.6 percent form the floor in a 100-96 victory on Sunday. Anchoring that defense is power forward Jonathan Isaac, who recorded five blocks on Sunday to go with 14 points and 11 rebounds.

ABOUT THE MAGIC (8-11): Carrying the team offensively while All-Star center Nikola Vucevic (ankle) recovers from injury is shooting guard Evan Fournier, who broke out for a season-high 32 points on 13-of-21 shooting - 6-of-10 from beyond the arc - in Sunday's win. Fournier left the game briefly in the first quarter after hyperextending his right knee but fought through and provided the key basket down the stretch with a driving layup. "Evan is a warrior," Isaac told reporters. "I already knew when he got back up (from the injury) and sat back down (on the bench) instead of going straight to the locker room that he was OK. If we had lost him, it would have been a blow to us, absolutely."

ABOUT THE WIZARDS (6-12): Sunday marked the eighth time this season that Washington allowed at least 125 points and the third time the team lost when scoring at least 125. All-Star guard Bradley Beal is doing his best to lead the team and collected 23 points and 11 assists on Sunday but is showing some frustration and drew a technical foul after jawing at officials. The Wizards did get a positive on Sunday from the play of rookie forward Rui Hachimura, who scored a season-high 30 points on 13-of-23 shooting and added nine rebounds.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. Wizards F Moritz Wagner (ankle) sat out Sunday and is day-to-day.

2. Magic SF Al-Farouq Aminu (knee) is out indefinitely.

3. Fournier scored 25 points in a 125-121 home win over Washington on Nov. 17.

PREDICTION: Magic 115, Wizards 113
