The Atlanta Hawks snapped a 10-game slide by turning things around on the defensive end in a 104-79 victory over the Golden State Warriors on Monday. The Hawks will try to put together two straight solid performances when they host the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday.

Atlanta's 10-game slide included a 150-101 loss at the Los Angeles Clippers and concluded with a 158-111 setback at Houston on Saturday, but the Hawks took advantage of the league-worst Warriors on Monday and held them to 39.8 percent from the floor. "It feels good, obviously, winning," Hawks point guard Trae Young told reporters. "I haven't won in a long time, which is not a good feeling. So, any time you get a win it feels good, so we're all happy but obviously we've got a long way to go." The Nets dropped two of their last three games following a four-game winning streak and are awaiting the return of star point guard Kyrie Irving, who missed the last nine games with a shoulder injury. "We have no idea what our ceiling is because we are not even close to healthy," Brooklyn guard Spencer Dinwiddie told reporters. "We really have no idea how good we could be. It is encouraging to know that our floor is continuing to rise."

TV: 7:30 p.m. ET, YES (Brooklyn), FS Southeast (Atlanta)

ABOUT THE NETS (10-10): Dinwiddie is averaging 20.7 points and scored 29 in Sunday's 109-106 loss to the Miami Heat after collecting 32 points and 11 assists in a win over Boston on Friday. The Colorado product began the season as the sixth man but moved in the starting lineup with Irving out and is averaging 25 points and 7.3 assists in nine games as a starter. Dinwiddie got some help on the inside Sunday from center DeAndre Jordan, who scored 15 points in 24 minutes off the bench to snap a string of three straight games in which he failed to reach double figures.

ABOUT THE HAWKS (5-16): Young scored 24 points on 10-of-19 shooting on Monday and is averaging 34.3 in the last six contests to lead the team. The second-year star committed seven turnovers on Monday - the third time in the last five games that he recorded at least seven miscues - but handed out seven assists and contributed to a defensive effort that held Golden State to a total of 30 points in the second and third quarters. "You can have a bad start and finish off strong, and the same vice versa," Young told reporters. "It's a long season, and you've got to continue to get better and hopefully we can flip it around."
