Last Meeting ( Mar 15, 2019 ) Chicago 121, L.A. Clippers 128

The Los Angeles Clippers look to extend their winning streak against Chicago to eight games when they visit the Bulls on Saturday. The Clippers are 4-1 on a six-game road after dispatching the Minnesota Timberwolves 124-117 on Friday.

Forward Paul George (46 points) and Kawhi Leonard (42) posted season-high totals and also became the first duo in Clippers history to score 40 in the same game in the triumph over the Timberwolves. "They were great. We knew without Lou (Williams), every play was basically for those two guys, and they came up big," Los Angeles coach Doc Rivers said after the contest. "They made the right plays for the most part. ... That was fantastic." Chicago has lost four of its last five games after shooting 30 percent from the field and establishing a season low for points in an 83-73 home loss to the Charlotte Hornets. "I thought our defense was terrific," Bulls coach Jim Boylen said during his postgame press conference of a positive he saw. "It kept us in the game, it gave us a chance. We forced 21 turnovers."

ABOUT THE CLIPPERS (20-7): Los Angeles will be short-handed against the Bulls as Leonard (knee) will again be held out on the second side of a back-to-back and Williams (calf) is likely to miss his second straight game. George was 17-of-31 shooting against Minnesota and Leonard, who hit all 19 of his free-throw attempts, was 10-of-24 shooting as the rest of the squad combined for 24 shots. "We knew we had to come out and be aggressive," George said in a postgame television interview. "... There are a lot of great things to look forward too. We're in a good position as is but it's scary where we can go."

ABOUT THE BULLS (9-18): Chicago scored 15 points in the first quarter and 10 in the third as the club never discovered its stride in Friday's setback. "We missed 63 shots," Boylen said. "Obviously, offensively we struggled. The consistency at the offensive end has not been there and it needs to be there." Shooting guard Zach LaVine tied for team-high scoring honors with 12 points - reserve Ryan Arcidiacono also had a dozen - despite 4-of-19 shooting while Lauri Markkanen (10 points, 4-of-12 shooting) was benched for nearly 15 minutes in the second half.

BUZZER BEATERS

1. The Clippers won last season's two meetings by an average of six points.

2. Chicago rookie G Coby White was 1-of-8 shooting against Charlotte and has made 12.5 percent of his shots or lower in three of the past six games.

3. Los Angeles PG Patrick Beverley (concussion) is expected to miss his second straight game.

PREDICTION: Clippers 104, Bulls 87
