Last Meeting ( Oct 16, 2019 ) Memphis 124, Oklahoma City 119

The Oklahoma City Thunder will seek to notch their ninth straight home win over Memphis when the Grizzlies come to town on Wednesday. Memphis hasn't won in Oklahoma City since notching a 91-89 win on Nov. 7, 2014 and has lost by double digits in six of the eight visits during the slide.

The Thunder overcame a 26-point, second-quarter deficit on Monday to post a 109-106 victory over the Chicago Bulls in the opener of a five-game homestand. Veteran point guard Chris Paul went 5-of-5 from 3-point range in the fourth quarter and made six overall while scoring 19 of his 30 points in the final 12 minutes. The Grizzlies won four of their past five games after registering a 118-111 home win over the Miami Heat on Monday. "We found a way to finally get some stops and get out and play our style of basketball," Memphis coach Taylor Jenkins said afterward. "It felt like when they adjusted at the zone, we were getting great looks."

ABOUT THE GRIZZLIES (10-17): Rookie point guard Ja Morant tuned up for his battle with Paul by producing 20 points and 10 assists against Miami for his fourth double-double of the campaign. Center Jonas Valanciunas also played well with 21 points and 10 rebounds to record his 14th double-double of the campaign. Guard De'Anthony Melton tied his season high with 16 points while reaching double figures for the fourth time this season and he also contributed seven rebounds and four assists.

ABOUT THE THUNDER (12-14):
Paul went over the 18,000-point mark - he's sitting at 18,018 - during his strong outing against Chicago and coach Billy Donovan values his competitiveness and leadership abilities. "I'm really glad that he's around a lot of our younger players," Donovan told reporters. "He understands how long the game is and he understands the number of possessions. I think guys like him have a mental computer that helps them gather information on what's available." Forward Danilo Gallinari scored 22 points against Chicago but he is just 7-of-29 shooting over the past two games and 16-of-53 over the last four.

BUZZER BEATERS
