Austin Reaves scored 28 points, including a jumper with 26.9 seconds left in double overtime, to lead No. 12 Oklahoma to a 91-90 win over No. 14 West Virginia in a Big 12 game on Saturday in Morgantown, W.Va.
The Mountaineers had two chances to win it in the closing seconds after Gabe Osabuohien forced a tie-up with less than five seconds left to give West Virginia another shot.
But a pair of layups attempts missed the mark and Oklahoma (13-5, 8-4 Big 12) won for the seventh time in eight games.
Reaves scored 22 points after halftime and finished with nine rebounds and seven assists as well.
One of West Virginia's last missed shots was by Derek Culver, who finished with a game-high 29 points on 13-for-23 shooting.
Sean McNeil took over late in regulation for the Mountaineers (14-6, 7-4), scoring 13 consecutive West Virginia points after the Sooners built a nine-point lead with less than seven minutes remaining.
McNeil, who finished with 21 points, hit three consecutive 3-pointers in a span of less than two minutes to tie the game for the first time since the opening minutes of the second half.
West Virginia took the lead with 2:10 remaining, but Umoja Gibson (21 points) hit a layup with 21 seconds left to tie the game at 70 with just under three minutes to play.
The Mountaineers had a chance to end the game in regulation but Miles McBride, who finished with 19 points, missed a pair of jumpers in the closing seconds.
In the first overtime, West Virginia's Jalen Bridges made a layup with under 30 seconds remaining to tie it and Reaves' shot just before the buzzer missed the mark, sending the game into a second overtime.
