Allen Flanigan scored 14 points as Auburn never trailed and rolled to a 77-41 rout of visiting Troy on Saturday afternoon.
The Tigers (5-2) won their fourth straight game since consecutive losses to top-ranked Gonzaga and Central Florida on Nov. 27 and 30. Auburn extended its non-conference home winning streak to 32 games by immediately jumping on Troy, doing so after trailing at halftime Tuesday against Texas Southern.
The Tigers shot a blistering 75 percent (18-of-24) in the first half, forced 13 turnovers in the opening 20 minutes and led by double digits for the final 32 1/2 minutes.
Jaylin Williams added 11 points and six rebounds for Auburn, which shot 57.1 percent (28-of-49) overall and outrebounded Troy 39-23. J.T. Thor contributed 10 points while reigning SEC Freshman of the Week Justin Powell handed out eight assists.
Troy came into the game last in the Sun Belt in scoring at 55 points per game and saw a three-game winning streak stopped. The Trojans shot 31.9 percent (15-of-47), misfired on 12 of 15 3-point tries and committed 19 turnovers.
Nick Stampley led Troy with 13 points on 5 of 11 shooting. Leading scorer Zay Williams shot 0-of-7 and was limited to four points.
Auburn raced out to a 21-3 lead on a layup by Jamal Johnson with 10:21 left and took its first 20-point lead on a 3-point play by Flanigan that made it 26-6 with 8:11 remaining. Consecutive dunks by Chris Moore and Williams pushed the lead over 30 at 37-6 with about four minutes left and the Tigers held a 43-10 lead by halftime.
Auburn missed its first five shots of the second half before Moore's jumper made it 48-21 with 13:26 remaining. The Tigers regained their 30-point lead on a layup by Moore that made it 67-37 with 4:28 left.
