Avery Anderson III and Bryce Williams each scored 29 points to help Oklahoma State come back and beat Cleveland State 98-93 in overtime on Monday night in Stillwater, Okla.
The Cowboys (7-3) snapped a two-game skid and won their sixth consecutive overtime game.
Cleveland State (6-3) had its six-game winning streak end despite a game-high 31 points from D'Moi Hodge, who had a chance to tie the game with eight seconds left in the extra period but missed a 3-point attempt from the top of the key.
Anderson proceeded to hit a pair of free throws at the other end to seal the outcome.
Anderson rescued the Cowboys in regulation as he collected a rebound off a missed free throw by Broc Finstuen (19 points, 10 rebounds) and raced coast-to-coast to score on a driving layup with 1.6 seconds left.
With 22 seconds left, the Vikings' Jayson Woodrich stole the ball from Bryce Williams and passed to Finstuen, who delivered a fastbreak dunk to put Cleveland State ahead 83-82. Williams then missed a 3-point attempt and Finstuen rebounded, drawing a foul with 6.1 seconds left. But Finstuen left the door open when he made only one of two free throws.
In overtime, Williams pulled up from the elbow and hit a jumper to put the Cowboys ahead 94-90 with 1:30 to go before Finstuen hit a 3-pointer to one point 20 seconds later.
Oklahoma State's Kalib Boone, who finished with 13 points and eight rebounds, missed in close but collected his own layup and proceeded to the free-throw line, where he made 1 of 2.
Keylan Boone delivered a key blocked shot on Finstuen on the ensuing possession. Williams had a chance to wrap up the win, but he made only 1 of 2 free throws to give Oklahoma State a 96-93 lead.
Hodge rushed a 3-point attempt on the ensuing possession and missed.
Matthew-Alexander Moncreiffe scored 11 points for Oklahoma State while Deante Johnson had 12 points and Torrey Patton finished with 10 points for the Vikings.
