Washington wraps up a seven-game homestand before heading off to Hawaii for the Diamond Head Classic when it hosts crosstown rival Seattle on Tuesday. The 22nd-ranked Huskies have had a nine-day break since their last game, an 83-76 loss to No. 2 Gonzaga.

The Huskies, who start two of the nation's premier freshman forwards in 6-9 Isaiah Stewart and 6-9 Jaden McDaniels, gave the Zags all they could handle in the loss, trailing 72-70 with 2:59 left when Bulldogs forward Killian Tillie sank a shot clock buzzer-beating 30-footer, and were down 79-76 when Joel Ayayi nailed another trey with 27 seconds left to seal it for Gonzaga. "We were the more talented team, but they were the better team," Stewart, who wowed the 30 NBA scouts in attendance with a game-high 21 points on 6-of-7 shooting while also grabbing 10 rebounds, told reporters. "In order for us to reach our goals, obviously we want to win the national championship, we're just going to have to come together as a team. We have so much talent." Seattle carries a four-game winning streak into the contest and comes off a 10-day break and was competitive in a road loss at Ole Miss 65-52 as well as a 77-70 setback to Bucknell in the NIT Season Tip-Off in Orlando, Fla.
