Last Meeting ( Feb 17, 2019 ) Miami-Florida 57, Boston College 64

Boston College heads south to Miami on Wednesday looking to end its seven-game losing streak at the Hurricanes' Watsco Center. The Eagles have won three of their last five after defeating Virginia Tech 77-73 in overtime while Miami looks to bounce back from a 99-81 loss to rival Florida State and at the same time, end a three-game skid.

Aiding Miami's cause is the prospect of playing with a full deck after Chris Lykes, Kameron McGusty and Rodney Miller missed time with injuries. "We've been frustrated with all the injuries we've had to deal with, but I'm hoping, and have my fingers crossed, that by Wednesday, when we play Boston College, we'll have a full roster available," Miami coach Jim Larranaga said. With all the injuries, the Hurricanes have sunk to the bottom of the ACC, while BC continues to move up the standings after surpassing last season's conference win total (five) with the triumph over Virginia Tech. Last season's 11th-place finish was BC's best since 2012-13 and the Eagles are now sitting ninth in the ACC.

ABOUT BOSTON COLLEGE (12-12, 6-7 ACC): Steffon Mitchell came up big for BC against Virginia Tech, tying career highs with 21 points and 15 rebounds with six assists. Derryck Thornton is the team's leading scorer (13.0) and he's averaging 16 points in the last four games while also ranking 13th in the ACC in assists (3.5 per game). Freshman Jay Heath, the team's second-leading scorer (12.6), is riding a string of seven straight double-digit scoring games, including tying a career high with 18 points against the Hokies, and the team is 7-2 when he records 15 points or more.

ABOUT MIAMI (11-12, 3-10): Larranaga will have to tinker with his lineups and rotations with the return of Lykes and McGusty, both of whom struggled in limited minutes against Florida State, as freshmen guards Harlond Beverly and Isaiah Wong have been productive scorers, with Wong coming off a career-high 23-point performance. "Isaiah Wong had a great game -- 23 points. Just a handful of freshmen have been able to accomplish that (scoring 20 points) since we joined the ACC," Larranaga said. With Miller out, the Seminoles nearly doubled the Hurricanes' rebound total, outrebounding Miami 46-24.

BUZZER BEATERS
