Calgary @ Montreal preview
Percival Molson Memorial Stadium
Last Meeting ( Oct 30, 2016 ) Calgary 8, Montreal 17
The Calgary Stampeders look to keep their unbeaten record intact when they make the trek east to face the Montreal Alouettes on Friday. The Stampeders are coming off an impressive 29-10 win against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers to move into first place in the West Division, and they hope to continue their stellar start to the campaign by avenging a 17-8 loss to Montreal in the final game of the 2016 regular season.
"We're winning and we have a group that works hard and makes plays to win games," Calgary coach Dave Dickenson told reporters. "We have a long way to go and our guys know that but it's always nice to win." The Alouettes were doomed by an inconsistent offence once again in the 23-16 loss to the BC Lions in Week 3. Montreal was held below 20 points for the third consecutive game and hopes to find some playmakers to take advantage of a banged-up Stampeders defence, which has given up 31 or more points in two of their first three contests. "I don't think after three games it's time to write the season off," Montreal quarterback Darian Durant told reporters. "We're trying to figure each other out, figure the system out and get on the same page."

ABOUT THE STAMPEDERS (2-0-1): Calgary signed Ben D'Aguilar and Reuben Frank to bolster a depleted defensive line, which is missing Junior Turner, Ja'Gared Davis and Kashawn Fraser due to injury. Bo Levi Mitchell threw for 332 yards and a touchdown in the victory against Winnipeg to extend his CFL-record unbeaten streak to 19 regular-season starts in a row. Linebacker Maleki Harris returned an interception 27 yards for a touchdown in the third quarter to change the complexion of the game and register his second score in as many contests.
ABOUT THE ALOUETTES (1-2): Durant went 24-of-36 for 245 yards but finished without a touchdown in the loss to BC, and hasn't thrown for 300 yards since joining Montreal in the offseason. Running back/kick returner Stefan Logan, who led the CFL in kick return yards (1,162) last season, left the game in the first quarter with an eye injury, but practiced during the week and is expected to play on Friday. Montreal signed defensive back Brandon Stewart, who made 64 tackles with the Lions in 2016, while running back Miles Jones and defensive back Chris Greenwood were added to the practice roster.
