Calgary @ Ottawa preview
TD Place Stadium
Last Meeting ( Jun 28, 2018 ) Ottawa 14, Calgary 24
The Calgary Stampeders look to stay unbeaten when they travel to the nation's capital to take on the Ottawa Redblacks on Thursday. The Stampeders beat three straight East Division teams by an average margin of 19.3 points, including a 24-14 victory over the Redblacks on June 28 before taking a week off, and hope to continue their dominance by improving to 4-0 for the first time since 2014.
"We know that they are going to come back at us hard and with a vengeance," Calgary linebacker Alex Singleton told reporters. "Hopefully we'll be clicking like we were in the first three weeks and show them what we're all about." Trevor Harris bounced back from a disappointing showing against the Stampeders to lead Ottawa to a 28-18 road victory against the Montreal Alouettes in Week 4. Harris was held to a career-low completion percentage (45 percent) in the setback to Calgary, but threw for 342 yards and three touchdowns against the Alouettes as he hopes to guide Ottawa to its first regular-season win against the Stampeders in nearly three years. The Redblacks have won five of their last six regular-season games dating back to last year and can take sole possession of first place in the East Division with a victory Thursday.

ABOUT THE STAMPEDERS (3-0): Second-year defensive back Tunde Adeleke could return to the lineup after missing the victory over Ottawa with an undisclosed injury while Ciante Evans was carried off the field late against the Redblacks, and his status for Thursday's contest is unknown. Bo Levi Mitchell threw for 251 yards and a pair of touchdowns in Week 3 to become the 34th quarterback in CFL history to pass for more than 20,000 yards in his career. "We looked fast, we looked happy and we're ready to compete," Mitchell told reporters. "Guys are having fun and love to come to work every day."
ABOUT THE REDBLACKS (2-1): Brad Sinopoli was the main beneficiary of Harris' big night as he hauled in a career-high 11 passes for 148 yards against Montreal. William Powell racked up 138 yards on the ground and has gone over 100 rushing yards in six of his last nine regular-season contests while rookie Noel Thomas caught six passes for 56 yards and his first CFL touchdown against the Alouettes. Offensive lineman Jason Lauzon-Seguin was forced into action for the first time in eight months after Jon Gott went down with an injury, but Ottawa coach Rick Campbell expects Gott to recover in time to play Thursday.
