Calgary @ Hamilton preview
Tim Hortons Field
Last Meeting ( Jun 16, 2018 ) Hamilton 14, Calgary 28
The Calgary Stampeders look to bounce back from a rare loss when they visit the Hamilton Tiger-Cats on Saturday. The Stampeders suffered a 48-42 setback to the Edmonton Eskimos in the Labour Day rematch to see their lead at the top of the West Division shrink to four points, and they hope to get back on track by downing the Tiger-Cats for the 13th consecutive time in the regular season.
"We've got to be better and we can't just sit back and let teams have their way with us," Calgary head coach Dave Dickenson told reporters. "We've had great success but that doesn't mean teams aren't going to figure out what we've been doing." Hamilton moved into a first-place tie with the Ottawa Redblacks in the East Division following its third straight victory. The Tiger-Cats thumped the Toronto Argonauts 36-25 to sweep the home-and-home set against their provincial rivals and hope to take sole possession of first place by beating the Stampeders for the first time since a 55-36 triumph on Sept. 25, 2011. "I don't think I've ever beaten Calgary so I'm going out there with a chip on my shoulder," Hamilton wide receiver Brandon Banks told reporters. "If you want to be the best you gotta beat the best so that's what we're going out there to do."

Running back Romar Morris had a career day as he accounted for 157 yards from scrimmage and four touchdowns - two on the ground and a pair through the air - against the Eskimos. Kamar Jorden, who leads the team in receptions (55) and receiving yards (944), underwent season-ending surgery on his knee last Thursday while all-star cornerback Ciante Evans (leg) and running back Don Jackson (lower body) are questionable after missing last weekend's game.
ABOUT THE TIGER-CATS (6-5): Jeremiah Masoli completed 18-of-25 passes for 307 yards and four touchdowns in the win over Toronto to register his ninth 300-yard game of the season, which equaled the franchise record set by Henry Burris in 2013. Running back Alex Green accounted for 104 yards and a touchdown against the Argonauts to extend his TD streak to five straight games. The Tiger-Cats signed former Calgary wide receiver Marquay McDaniel, who spent the previous six seasons with the Stampeders, to the practice roster while defensive end Ted Laurent will return to the lineup after missing the win against the Argos to attend the birth of his daughter.
