The Saskatchewan Roughriders look to build off their best win of the season when they visit the BC Lions on Saturday. The Roughriders routed the previously unbeaten Calgary Stampeders 40-27 in Week 10 to move back to .500 and hope to stay in the thick of the playoff race in the West Division by posting their first win in Vancouver since a 20-16 victory Aug. 24, 2014.
"This is just one game on a long journey but the good thing is we get to meet all these Western opponents face to face," Saskatchewan coach Chris Jones told reporters. "We're a good football team … we just stubbed our toe a few times and we've got to learn to win games." The Lions are left to lick their wounds after squandering a 10-point lead in the 24-23 loss to the Toronto Argonauts. BC has dropped three of its last four games to fall into last place in the West Division, but the Lions have won the previous four home meetings with Saskatchewan and hope the trend continues as they aim to get back into the playoff picture. "We take one step forward and then two steps back," BC wide receiver Manny Arceneaux told reporters. "It's just about finding that consistency."

ABOUT THE ROUGHRIDERS (4-4): Nick Marshall was named one of the CFL's Top Performers of the Week after the former Auburn Tigers star scored a touchdown on offence (3-yard TD run) and defence (67-yard pick six) against Calgary. Wide receiver Caleb Holley, who has caught 107 passes for 1,470 yards and seven touchdowns since 2016 with Saskatchewan, was placed on the six-game injured list after hurting his knee in the first quarter against the Stampeders. The Roughriders acquired wide receiver Brian Jones, who was selected fourth overall in the 2016 CFL Draft, from the Toronto Argonauts in exchange for a seventh-round pick in 2019.
ABOUT THE LIONS (3-5): Travis Lulay threw for 285 yards and a touchdown while Jeremiah Johnson added 60 rushing yards and a score after missing the previous game with a nagging ankle injury. Linebacker Micah Awe, who registered 54 tackles with BC in 2017, agreed to a deal and will return to Vancouver after he was waived by the New York Jets. "Micah reached out to the club about the possibility of a return and we're very pleased to have him back," BC general manager Ed Hervey told reporters. "I believe his desire to return to the Lions speaks to the culture we are building here in BC."
