The Winnipeg Blue Bombers wrap up the regular season on the road against the Edmonton Eskimos Saturday with a playoff spot already assured. The Blue Bombers beat the Calgary Stampeders 29-21 in Week 20 to punch their ticket to the postseason while eliminating the Eskimos in the process, and hope to extend their winning streak to six games with a date in the West Semifinal against either the Stampeders or the Saskatchewan Roughriders looming on Nov. 11.

"We know we're up against it by going on the road against two good football teams either way but at the same time we don't fear anyone," Winnipeg quarterback Matt Nichols told reporters. "We have the talent level here and the leadership to beat anyone as long as we come out and play the way we're capable." The Eskimos are left to lament what could have been after losing four of their last five games to miss out on a playoff spot for the first time since 2013. Edmonton started off the campaign 5-2, but proceeded to drop seven of the next 10 games to leave head coach Jason Maas' job hanging precariously in the balance and the Eskimos hope to get over the disappointment of not being able to challenge for the Grey Cup championship - which will be held at their home stadium - by avoiding their first losing season in five years. "We want our guys to finish in the right way and not just go through the motions," Edmonton general manager Brock Sutherland told reporters. "How we handle this week and how we handle this game will set the tone for next year and I'm fully aware of everything that's going on."

TV: 4 p.m. ET, TSN

ABOUT THE BLUE BOMBERS (10-7): Running back Andrew Harris accounted for 130 yards from scrimmage despite suffering a dislocated finger in the first half of the win against Calgary and will likely be rested with a third-place finish already secured. Wide receiver Weston Dressler caught four passes for 53 yards against the Stampeders to become the 17th player in CFL history to surpass 10,000 receiving yards while extending his streak of consecutive games with a reception to 125, which is the sixth-longest all time. Starting safety Taylor Loffler was a late omission last weekend and is likely to miss out once again while Moe Leggett is set to miss his second straight game with a leg injury.

ABOUT THE ESKIMOS (8-9):
Mike Reilly threw for 268 yards and registered his 13th touchdown on the ground in the 42-32 loss against BC to move within one of equaling the single-season record for most rushing TDs by a quarterback currently held by both James Franklin (2018) and Doug Flutie (1991). Edmonton released wide receiver Peter Berryman and defensive back Justin Gibbons from the practice squad Monday. Wide receiver D'haquille Williams leads the league with 1,534 yards, which is 158 ahead of Ottawa's Brad Sinopoli, putting the former Auburn star in the driver's seat for his first receiving title.

EXTRA POINTS

1. Winnipeg has won three straight games against West Division rivals.

2. Reilly leads the league in passing yards (5,242).

3. The Blue Bombers have forced 17 turnovers during their five-game winning streak.

PREDICTION: Eskimos 24, Blue Bombers 20
