The Calgary Stampeders look to extend their home winning streak to 16 games when they tangle with the BC Lions on Saturday. The surging Stampeders have reeled off seven consecutive wins overall, including a thrilling 25-22 victory against the Edmonton Eskimos in Week 12, to open up a three-point lead at the top of the West Division standings, and hope to continue their dominance by sweeping the season series with the Lions following a 21-17 triumph Aug. 18.

Calgary has won 14 games in a row against West Division rivals and hopes to take another step toward its fourth division title in the last five years. BC ended a three-game slide with a 41-18 victory against the Montreal Alouettes and moved out of the West Division cellar in the process. The win came at a huge cost as quarterback Travis Lulay suffered a season-ending knee injury on the second play from scrimmage and the Lions' playoff hopes rest squarely on the shoulders of Jonathon Jennings, who lost the starting job after throwing eight interceptions in his previous four games. "Any way you look at it I've got to perform," Jennings told reporters. "By sitting out the last few games I think it's helped me to see some things."

TV: 7 p.m. ET, TSN

ABOUT THE LIONS (6-5): Jennings looked sharp in relief of Lulay as he completed 22-of-29 passes for 295 yards and two touchdowns against the Alouettes. Manny Arceneaux hauled in six passes for 108 yards and a touchdown while Bryan Burnham added six catches for 101 yards to notch his second straight 100-yard game since returning to the starting lineup from a leg injury. The Lions signed Mitchell Gale, who has played for three different teams in the CFL, to take Lulay's spot on the roster and brought in Mitchell Van Dyk to fight for a place on the offensive line.

ABOUT THE STAMPEDERS (9-1-1): Bo Levi Mitchell threw for 272 yards and a pair of touchdowns, including the go-ahead score to Marquay McDaniel with 25 seconds left in the fourth quarter, to lift Calgary past Edmonton in the Battle of Alberta. The Stampeders are in desperate need of healthy bodies in the secondary as Ciante Evans, Jamar Wall and Joe Burnett left the game with injuries and their status is up in the air for Saturday while wide receiver DaVaris Daniels is also questionable. "I think everyone has injuries," Calgary coach Dave Dickenson told reporters. "We lost some important guys but the next guys have got to be ready to go."

EXTRA POINTS

1. The Stampeders have won seven of the last eight meetings with the Lions.

2. Jennings has thrown four interceptions in his last three regular-season outings against Calgary.

3. Stampeders RB Jerome Messam leads the CFL in rushing yards (730).

PREDICTION: Stampeders 35, Lions 23
