Ravens 26, Steelers 6: Joe Flacco threw a pair of touchdown passes to tight end Owen Daniels and Justin Tucker kicked four field goals as host Baltimore rolled in its first contest since the fallout involving Ray Rice earlier in the week.
Flacco completed 21-of-29 passes for 166 yards and Bernard Pierce gained 96 yards on 22 carries for the Ravens (1-1), who terminated Rice's contract Monday after a video of his domestic abuse was released to the public. Steve Smith caught six passes for 71 yards and Daniels finished with five catches for 28 yards.
Ben Roethlisberger was 22-of-37 for 217 yards with an interception for the Steelers (1-1), who have been outscored 50-9 over their last six quarters of play. Antonio Brown made seven catches for 90 yards and Le'Veon Bell ran 11 times for 59 yards.
Baltimore took advantage of a turnover to grab the lead as Flacco connected with Daniels for a 2-yard touchdown with 27 seconds remaining in the first quarter after DeAngelo Tyson recovered Justin Brown's fumble at the Ravens 15 more than six minutes earlier. Tucker booted a 30-yard field goal with eight minutes left in the second to make it 10-0 before Shaun Suisham converted kicks of 25 yards late in the first half and 43 yards 4 1/2 minutes into the third period to get Pittsburgh within four.
Flacco and Daniels teamed up for a 1-yard TD with 4:04 left in the third to put the Ravens ahead 17-6. Tucker helped seal the win by kicking three field goals of fewer than 25 yards in the fourth quarter.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Pittsburgh WR Antonio Brown left the game in the first quarter following a hard hit by Baltimore S Darian Stewart but returned in the second. Brown reportedly was fined $8,200 earlier in the day for kicking Cleveland P Spencer Lanning in the head on Sunday. ... Flacco improved to 12-1 at home in September games. ... Nine of the previous 10 regular-season meetings between the AFC North rivals were decided by fewer than four points.
