Eagles 19, Giants 17: Michael Vick completed 19 of 30 passes for 241 yards and a touchdown and Alex Henery kicked four field goals as host Philadelphia barely held off New York.
The Giants set themselves up for the winning field goal but Ramses Barden was called for an offensive pass interference penalty that knocked the team back. Lawrence Tynes lined up for a 54-yard attempt with 15 seconds left and kicked it right down the middle but just short.
LeSean McCoy rushed for 123 yards and Desean Jackson caught six passes for 99 yards and a score for the Eagles (3-1), who rushed for the bulk of their 191 yards in the second half.
The Giants (2-2) forced Philadelphia to settle for field goals on three consecutive drives bridging the third and fourth quarters and eventually took advantage. Eli Manning needed only five plays and 2:40 to drive New York down the field, hitting Bear Pascoe over the middle for a 6-yard score and its first lead of the game, 17-16, with 6:49 left.
Vick drove the Eagles right back down the field, but again the drive stalled out in the red zone. Vick was bottled up on a designed run on third-and-goal, and the Eagles settled for Henery’s 26-yard field goal and a 19-17 lead with 1:49 to play.
