Bears 41, Jaguars 3: Jay Cutler completed 22 of 39 passes for 292 yards and two touchdowns as Chicago dominated the second half and trounced host Jacksonville.
Charles Tillman and Lance Briggs each returned an interception for a touchdown in the second straight game and Brandon Marshall caught 12 passes for 144 yards and a score for the Bears (4-1), who have forced eight turnovers in their last two contests.
It was a 3-3 game at the half before Chicago opened things up in the third quarter. Robbie Gould gave the Bears the lead, capping a 17-play, 76-yard drive with a 31-yard field goal to begin a stretch of 38 unanswered points.
Tillman returned a pick 36 yards for the first touchdown of the game only 38 seconds after Gould’s field goal and Cutler took over from there, finding Alshon Jeffery with a 10-yard touchdown pass on the next drive. Cutler hit Marshall on the right side for a 24-yard score with 8:44 left.
Briggs, who rumbled 74 yards on an interception return for a touchdown on Monday at Dallas, ended any hope of a late comeback when he grabbed Blaine Gabbert’s pass and turned it back the other way for a 36-yard score.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Gabbert completed 17 of 33 passes for 142 yards and the two picks. He also lost a fumble. … Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew was held to 56 yards on 12 carries while Chicago’s Matt Forte broke out for 107 yards on 22 rushing attempts. … Bears RB Armando Allen got a chance in the fourth quarter and broke free for his first career touchdown, a 46-yard score with 1:49 left.
