49ers 34, Texans 3: Tramaine Brock intercepted Matt Schaub twice and took one pick back for a touchdown as host San Francisco forced five turnovers in a rout of Houston.
Colin Kaepernick threw a 64-yard scoring pass to Vernon Davis while Frank Gore and Anthony Dixon each had a rushing touchdown for the 49ers (3-2). Gore ran for 81 yards, and more than half of Kaepernick's 113 passing yards came on the toss to Davis that made it 31-3 early in the fourth quarter.
Schaub was 19-of-35 for 173 yards and three interceptions before being replaced by T.J. Yates in the fourth quarter. Brock picked off his first pass of the night and took it 18 yards for a score just 1:30 into the contest.
The 49ers didn't do much on offense - they were outgained 313-284 - but didn't need to. They put together a 65-yard drive ending with Gore's 1-yard run for a 14-0 lead, and Brock's second interception of the first half set up Dixon's 2-yard TD run.
Houston (2-3) got on the board with Randy Bullock's 41-yard field goal on its first possession of the third quarter, but San Francisco's defense dominated the rest of the way, forcing two more turnovers. The Texans' only success on offense came from Arian Foster, who rushed for 98 yards on 21 carries.
