49ers 31, Rams 17: Colin Kaepernick threw for 343 yards and three touchdowns as visiting San Francisco overcame an early 14-point deficit and posted its third consecutive victory in the 700th edition of Monday Night Football.

Kaepernick was 22-of-36 with TD passes to Brandon Lloyd, Anquan Boldin and Michael Crabtree as the 49ers (4-2) extended their Monday night winning streak to seven games. Boldin made seven catches for 94 yards and Dontae Johnson returned an interception 20 yards for a score in the final minute to seal the win.

Austin Davis completed 21-of-42 passes for 236 yards and a touchdown for the Rams (1-4), who suffered their third straight loss and fell to 0-3 at home. Benny Cunningham ran for a TD, Lance Kendricks hauled in a scoring pass and rookie Tre Mason rushed five times for 40 yards - including 24 on his first NFL carry.

Things started well for St. Louis as Cunningham scored on a 1-yard run 7:05 into the contest and Davis connected with Kendricks on a 22-yard touchdown pass with 53 seconds remaining in the first quarter for a 14-0 lead. San Francisco got on the board with 7:07 remaining in the second on Phil Dawson's 54-yard field goal and entered intermission with just a four-point deficit as Kaepernick hit Lloyd down the left sideline for an 80-yard TD with 14 seconds left in the half.

The third quarter belonged to Kaepernick and the 49ers, who picked up where they left off at halftime. The quarterback made an incredible pass across his body to Boldin in the back of the end zone for an 11-yard score at 5:02 to put San Francisco ahead and completed a 32-yard touchdown pass to Crabtree with 13 seconds to play in the period for a 24-14 advantage.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kaepernick, who recorded his third career 300-yard game, was denied a fourth touchdown pass in the fourth quarter as TEs Vance McDonald and Vernon Davis - who both were wide open - collided while going for a ball apparently intended for McDonald. Davis returned to action after missing Week 5 with a back injury. ... The Rams honored their 1999 Super Bowl championship team during a halftime ceremony. ... San Francisco lost LB Patrick Willis (toe), DB Jimmie Ward (quadriceps) and G Mike Iupati (concussion) to injuries.
