Dolphins 27, Jaguars 13: Safety Louis Delmar and cornerback Brent Grimes each returned an interception for a touchdown as visiting Miami rode an opportunistic defense to record its third win in four games.
Delmar also recovered a fumble and defensive end Olivier Vernon blocked a field-goal attempt for the Dolphins (4-3), who held a 10-3 halftime lead despite being dominated in both total yards (219-56) and time of possession (21:26-8:34). Ryan Tannehill (16-of-19, 196 yards) tossed a 3-yard touchdown pass to Rishard Matthews and rushed for 48 yards.
Rookie Blake Bortles, who was sacked four times, went 18-of-34 for 221 yards and threw a 48-yard touchdown pass to Allen Robinson late in the fourth quarter for Jacksonville (1-7). Denard Robinson followed up his career-best 127-yard performance last week by rushing for 108, becoming the first Jaguars running back to reach triple digits in consecutive games since Maurice Jones-Drew had three straight in 2011.
Miami drew first blood on the first play of the second quarter as Bortles' intended pass for tight end Nic Jacobs was intercepted by Delmar, who scampered 81 yards untouched into the end zone for his second career touchdown. The 27-year-old Delmas also recovered a fumble after Bortles was stripped of the ball by linebacker Jelani Jenkins later in the quarter.
The teams traded field goals in the second before Bortles tossed his league-leading 12th interception - and fourth returned for a touchdown - when Grimes went 22 yards in for a score early in the third. Josh Scobee drilled a 40-yard field goal to trim Miami's lead to 17-6, but Tannehill connected on a 50-yard pass play to Mike Wallace and Lamar Miller raced 30 yards to set up Matthews' short score with 2:18 left in the third.
