Bengals 49, Jets 9: Andy Dalton threw a career-best five touchdown passes and Marvin Jones set a franchise mark with four scoring receptions as Cincinnati annihilated visiting New York.
Chris Crocker and Adam Jones each returned interceptions for touchdowns as the Bengals (6-2) won their fourth consecutive game. Cincinnati’s point total was its highest since tallying 58 against the Cleveland Browns in 2004 and marked the fourth time in club history that it won by 40 or more points.
Jets rookie Geno Smith passed for 159 yards with two interceptions and was pulled after Adam Jones’ 60-yard interception return early in the fourth quarter. New York (4-4) received its points on field goals of 45, 47 and 50 yards from Nick Folk.
Dalton, who passed for 325 yards, connected with Marvin Jones on first-half scores of 9, 6 and 14 yards as the Bengals built a 28-6 halftime advantage. Crocker picked off Smith for a 32-yard score on the first play of the second half and Dalton hit Marvin Jones for the final time with a 6-yarder later in the quarter.
Dalton joins Carson Palmer (six against Cleveland in 2007) and Boomer Esiason (five versus the Jets in 1986) as the only Bengals to throw five or more touchdowns in a game. Marvin Jones, a second-year receiver, set career bests with eight receptions and 122 yards.

Green had 115 receiving yards. … The last quarterback to throw five touchdowns in a game against the Jets was Miami’s Dan Marino in 1988. … Cincinnati LB Rey Maualuga left with a knee injury and concussion symptoms.
