Seahawks 28, Jets 7: Russell Wilson threw two touchdown passes and Marshawn Lynch rushed for 124 yards and a score as Seattle stayed perfect at home.
Golden Tate caught a touchdown pass and threw a 23-yard scoring strike to Sidney Rice, who finished with two scores for the Seahawks (6-4). Seattle held New York to 185 total yards and forced three turnovers to move to 5-0 at CenturyLink Field.
Mark Sanchez struggled again for the Jets, going 9-of-22 for 124 yards and an interception. Tim Tebow completed all three of his pass attempts and rushed four times for 14 yards for New York (3-6), which has dropped three straight.
The Jets tied it at 7-7 in the first quarter on Muhammad Wilkerson’s 21-yard fumble return for a touchdown but could get nothing done on offense. Lynch’s 1-yard touchdown run with 2:04 left in the second sent the Seahawks into the locker room with the lead.
Wilson found Rice for a 31-yard touchdown pass with 13:33 left in the game and Seattle turned Sanchez’s fumble into points on its next possession. After Lynch had a touchdown run called back due to a penalty, the Seahawks swung it out to Tate, who fired a 23-yard pass to Rice on the left side for a touchdown.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Sanchez completed less than 50 percent of his passes for the fifth time this season. … Jets RB Shonn Greene was held to 58 yards on 15 carries and Jeremy Kerley led the receiving corps with five catches for 57 yards. … Seattle CB Richard Sherman forced a fumble and recorded his third interception.
