Packers 24, Vikings 21: Aaron Rodgers threw two touchdown passes and Eddie Lacy scored twice as visiting Green Bay defeated Minnesota.
Rodgers passed for 209 yards and Lacy rushed for a season-high 125 yards as the Packers (8-3) won their third straight game. Jordy Nelson had eight receptions for 68 yards as Green Bay didn’t come close to scoring 50 points in a third straight contest.
Teddy Bridgewater passed for 210 yards and two touchdowns and also threw an interception for the Vikings (4-7). Charles Johnson and Greg Jennings caught scoring passes for Minnesota, which was unable to get the ball back after pulling within three points late in the contest.
Blair Walsh booted a 51-yard field goal to pull the Vikings within 14-13 with 6:42 to play in the third quarter before Mason Crosby answered with a 48-yarder for Green Bay to restore the lead to four. The Packers increased the lead to 11 when Rodgers capped an 87-yard drive with a 10-yard shovel pass to Lacy with 8:34 remaining before Bridgewater connected with Jennings on a 5-yard TD pass and tacked on a two-point conversion pass to Johnson to make it 24-21 with 3:23 to go.
Lacy scored on a 1-yard run in the opening quarter and Minnesota tied the score on Bridgewater’s 22-yard pass to Johnson with 11:06 left in the second quarter. Rodgers tossed a 1-yard scoring pass to Richard Rodgers to put the Packers back ahead and Walsh kicked a 39-yard field to draw the Vikings within 14-10 with 16 seconds left in the half.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Nelson (1,066) went over the 1,000-yard mark for the third time in his career while Lacy had his second 100-yard rushing performance of the season – both against the Vikings. … Walsh has five field goals of 50 or more yards this season, matching last season’s total. … Packers LB Clay Matthews (groin) played and had two tackles.
