Cardinals 27, Jaguars 14: Carson Palmer passed for 419 yards and two touchdowns as visiting Arizona upended Jacksonville.
Michael Floyd had six receptions for a career-best 193 yards, including a 91-yard touchdown catch that is the NFL’s longest play from scrimmage this season. The Cardinals (6-4) limited the Jaguars to 274 offensive yards while winning their third consecutive contest.
Jacksonville’s Chad Henne passed for 255 yards and a touchdown but was intercepted twice. The Jaguars (1-9) have been outscored 116-25 at home this season, losing all four contests.
Jay Feely’s 21-yard field goal early in the third quarter put Arizona ahead and Palmer connected with Floyd on the long catch-and-run score to make it 24-14 with 7:29 left in the period. Feely booted a 32-yard field goal with 7:03 remaining in the fourth, and the Jaguars were unable to mount a comeback.
Henne threw a 62-yard touchdown pass to Danny Noble in the first quarter for Jacksonville’s first touchdown at home this season. Maurice Jones-Drew scored on a 1-yard run less than three minutes after Larry Fitzgerald's 14-yard TD reception, but Rashard Mendenhall’s 5-yard scoring scamper with 1:55 left in the first half forged a 14-14 tie.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Both teams struggled to run the ball – Arizona gained 14 yards on 24 attempts and Jacksonville totaled 32 yards on 16 rushes. … The Jaguars were 2-for-14 on third-down conversions. … Cardinals OLB John Abraham had a third-quarter sack to raise his career total to 129 and move into 11th place on the all-time list.
