Glover Quin had three interceptions and Matt Schaub threw two touchdown passes as the host Houston Texans shut out the Tennessee Titans 20-0 on Sunday in a battle of AFC South rivals.
The Texans held the Titans to nine first downs and 162 yards, including 76 on their final drive of the game.
Chris Johnson rushed for just five yards on seven carries while rookie Rusty Smith was 17 of 31 for 138 yards in his first NFL start for the Titans.
The Texans (5-6) snapped a four-game losing streak, while the Titans (5-6) have lost four straight.
Texans wide receiver Andre Johnson and Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan were ejected for fighting with 7:39 left in the fourth quarter.
Johnson had nine catches for 56 yards and a touchdown, and became the first player in NFL history to start his career with eight seasons of 60 or more catches. Johnson averaged nearly 84 catches in his first seven seasons, and has 65 in 2010.
Schaub finished 25 of 35 for 178 yards, and Arian Foster had 143 yards rushing and 75 receiving for the Texans. Foster leads the NFL in rushing with 1,147 yards.
It was the second shutout in franchise history for the Texans, who won the time of possession battle, 39:41 to 20:19.
