Phil Dawson kicked a 24-yard field goal as time expired to give the Cleveland Browns a 13-10 victory over the host Miami Dolphins on Sunday.
Cleveland free safety Mike Adams returned an interception 24 yards to the Miami 2-yard line with 55 seconds to play. The pass from quarterback Chad Henne was deflected by former Dolphins linebacker David Bowens to Adams, who ran up the left sideline and was knocked out of bounds just outside the goal line.
Browns quarterback Jake Delhomme took a knee on three consecutive plays to set up the short field goal try by Dawson, who hit the left upright with a 47-yard field goal attempt in the third quarter.
It was the third interception of the game thrown by Henne, who completed only 16 of 32 passes for 174 yards and a touchdown.
Delhomme, who was making his second consecutive start due to an injury to Colt McCoy, completed 24 of 34 passes for 217 yards and a touchdown.
Tight end Ben Watson finished with a career-high 10 receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown for the Browns (5-7).
Running back Peyton Hillis came into the game needing 95 yards rushing to get to 1,000 for the season, but was held to 57 yards on 18 carries.
Davone Bess had six catches for 67 yards for Miami (6-6), which was without the services of leading receiver Brandon Marshall for the second consecutive game due to a hamstring injury.
