Bills 19, Dolphins 0: Fred Jackson rushed for 111 yards and a touchdown and host Buffalo recorded a season-high seven sacks to deal a significant blow to Miami's postseason aspirations.
Thad Lewis (15-of-25, 193 yards) was economical en route to defeating his hometown team for the second time this season. C.J. Spiller added 77 yards and Dan Carpenter kicked four field goals against his former club as the Bills (6-9) completed a season sweep of the Dolphins (8-7) and posted consecutive victories for the first time since Sept. 16-23, 2012.
Ryan Tannehill (10-of-27, 82 yards) was under duress for much of the game before briefly exiting with a knee injury in the fourth quarter. Matt Moore tossed a crucial interception before Tannehill returned, but Miami was held to 103 total yards and saw its three-game winning streak come to an end.
With the Dolphins trailing 13-0, Tannehill was injured while being sacked by Kyle Williams. Moore entered the contest and completed a 50-yard pass to Brian Hartline before getting intercepted by safety Jim Leonhard with 10:31 remaining in the fourth quarter.
Rookie Robert Woods reeled in a 57-yard toss from Lewis to set up Carpenter's 45-yard field goal to open the scoring midway through the first quarter. Jackson bulled his way up the middle from nine yards out to give Buffalo a 10-0 lead early in the second.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Woods was ejected from the contest during the third quarter for throwing a punch at Miami S Reshad Jones ... Buffalo enjoyed a 205-56 edge in total yards in the first half despite Miami holding a slight edge in time of possession. ... Lewis completed 21-of-32 passes for 202 yards in Buffalo's 23-21 road victory over Miami on Oct. 20 while playing in place of rookie QB E.J. Manuel. ... The Dolphins were bidding to go undefeated on the road in December for the first time since they went 3-0 in 2008.
