Chicago Bears quarterback Mitchell Trubisky has gone so far as to publicly request that televisions are turned off inside Halas Hall in a bid to shield the sputtering team from outside criticism. The Bears look to give their fans something better to watch on Sunday as they look to snap a four-game skid against the Detroit Lions.

The Bears hardly were "Must See TV" during last Sunday's 22-14 setback to Philadelphia, going three-and-out on their first five possessions and mustering a meager nine total yards of offense in the first half. "We just got to come out better," the 25-year-old Trubisky said. "We've got to come out faster. We've got to come out with a different attitude, kind of like we did in the second half, with a little chip on our shoulder. I think if we start the game like that, we give ourselves a better chance." The Lions didn't give themselves a chance with how they finished last Sunday, falling to 1-4 in their last five games following a 31-24 setback to Oakland. Matthew Stafford, who will play in his 150th career game on Sunday, threw for 406 yards and three touchdowns against the Raiders before failing to connect on a fourth-down attempt in the waning moments.

ABOUT THE LIONS (3-4-1): Chicago native Kenny Golladay and Marvin Jones Jr. each reeled in a touchdown pass last Sunday to give the duo 13 scoring catches, tied with Tampa Bay's Mike Evans and Chris Godwin for the most among tandems this season. "I ain't going to lie, me and Marv, we compete with that kind of stuff. That just makes it fun," said the 26-year-old Golladay, whose seven touchdown receptions are tied with Evans for the league lead. What hasn't been fun is Detroit's defense, which has been gashed for at least 400 yards in five of eight games this season and surrendered at least 20 points in each contest since Week 2. "It's not even surprising what offenses do to us because we already know what they want to do, and we just ain't stopping it right now," cornerback Darius Slay said.

ABOUT THE BEARS (3-5): While Trubisky has experienced regression in his third season, rookie David Montgomery appears to have overcome a slow start and is headed in the right direction after rushing for his first multi-touchdown performance of his career. Speedy running back Tarik Cohen has gone nowhere fast this season, although he has rushed for a touchdown in each of his last two home games versus Detroit. Allen Robinson looks to rebound from a one-catch, six-yard performance when he faces Detroit's 30th-ranked pass defense. The 6-foot-2, 220-pound wideout has three touchdowns in as many career games against the Lions, including two scores in a six-reception, 133-yard effort in the last home outing.

EXTRA POINTS

1. Stafford has thrown for 4,471 yards and 28 touchdowns in 18 career games against Chicago.

2. The Bears won both meetings last season after the Lions won nine of the previous 10.

3. Detroit's J.D. McKissic has 13 receptions, the most of any running back on the team despite playing half as many snaps as the injured Kerryon Johnson.
