We almost forget that Hurts was inches away from touchdown glory late into that Week 1 game but a botched exchange between he a new starting center Cam Jurgens was a rare whiff for Philadelphia’s famed “Brotherly Shove”. This Eagles attack is going to be among the best in the NFL and will have a few red zone chances versus Atlanta tonight. Top target A.J. Brown is out and all eyes will be on Barkley, giving added promise that Hurts could cash one on a keeper. And, of course, the “Tush Push” will be in effect on those goal line sets. Week 2 player projections have Hurts forecasted for .68 rushing touchdowns tonight, which when put against the TD anytime market (0.5 TDs) presents rare positive value for a guy who’s rumbled for 38 touchdowns over his last 47 games (0.8 TDs per game) – the most in the league since 2021.

Saquon Barkley anytime TD (-185)
Saquon Barkley was very involved in the red zone, with his eight carries accounting for 100% of running back carries, 66.7% of all carries, and a 25% target share in the red zone in Week 1. He also accounted for 75% of the Philadelphia Eagles' touches inside the 10-yard line, with the lone non-Barkley play being a Hurts run for zero yards.

Darnell Mooney o38.5 receiving yards (-113)
Despite his lack of production, Darnell Mooney played nearly every snap on offense in Week 1 and had a 100% route participation rate. But with TJ Watt and the Steelers' front seven causing havoc, Kirk Cousins rarely had time to look Mooney's way. Mooney (12.2 career YPR) profiles similarly in usage to Romeo Doubs (11.4 YPR last year), who was able to slip by the Eagles' young secondary for four receptions and 50 yards last week.

Tyler Allgeier o19.5 rushing yards (-113)
After an offseason of suggesting Allgeier will still have a role behind second-year back Bijan Robinson, new offensive coordinator Zac Robinson assured that Tyler Allgeier would see more action after his quiet Week 1. Given that the Packers gashed the Eagles for 6.5 yards per running back carry in Week 1, it would be wise of the Falcons to follow that formula.

Jalen Hurts u20.5 Passing Completions (-140)
Top Eagles WR A.J. Brown will miss the game due to a hamstring injury. While DeVonta Smith is a great wide receiver in his own right, and newcomer Jahan Dotson could see a bigger role alongside tight end Dallas Goedert, one less key target for Jalen Hurts could cause the Eagles to dial up a more run-heavy approach. That the Eagles are decent favorites against the Falcons also presents a game script that should lead to running down the clock in the second half with handoffs to their new shiny toy, Saquon Barkley.
Robinson’s 18 carries in Week 1 tied the third most attempts of his young career and Week 2 projections have him forecasted for another busy game on Monday night. Rushing yard models for Robinson range from 69 yards to almost 80 yards on the ground, with all projections sitting north of his rushing yard Over/Under total of 64.5 yards. Week 2’s opponent isn’t on the the same level as the Steelers’ stop unit and is working in a brand new defense from DC Vic Fangio. The Eagles got pushed around by the Packers in Brazil last week, allowing 163 rushing yards on 7.8 yards per carry. That left Philly 31st in EPA allowed per handoff in Week 1.
Atlanta got a raw deal opening against Pittsburgh’s defense and the Steelers came after Cousins, who faced the second highest pressure rate of Wek 1 and that caused all kinds of chaos, including three takeaways that killed any chemistry with this new Falcons offense. The Eagles, under Vic Fangio, aren't going to bring many extra rushers. That should be a welcome change for Cousins and ATL. As for the Eagles, that offense looked good in Brazil but left points on the table, going 4 for 14 on third downs and only 3 for 6 inside the red zone. The Falcons defense just faced a pop-gun Pittsburgh attack under a QB2. Big time turnaround in opponent in Week 2. Plenty of points on Monday night.
