Dallas @ Chicago preview
United Center
Last Meeting ( Nov 23, 2019 ) Chicago 1, Dallas 2
The Dallas Stars could not find the formula to post more than one victory during the first nine games of the season last month, but are making that challenge look quite easy as November comes to a close later this week. The Stars go after a franchise-record eighth consecutive victory and try to extend their point streak to 13 games when they visit the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday night in a Central Division battle.
Alexander Radulov registered two power-play goals and added an assist for a 4-2 victory over Vegas on Monday to complete a 4-0-0 homestand as Dallas, which started the season 1-7-1, improved to 11-0-1 over the last 12 games. The Blackhawks, who own at least a point in four of the last five meetings (3-1-1), have cooled off after a six-game point streak (5-0-1) by losing three straight following a solid effort in the 2-1 shootout setback at Dallas on Saturday. “You want the two points, but I think you have to look behind the score sometimes and see stuff you can build on,” Chicago defenseman Olli Maatta told reporters after scoring his first goal of the season. “I think (Saturday) the effort, I think the compete (level) was there. We did a lot of good things.” Former Hart Trophy winner Patrick Kane comes in riding a 12-game point streak after notching an assist Saturday and has scored eight times while setting up 13 others during his scoring surge.

ABOUT THE STARS (15-8-2): Radulov moved up to third on the team with 15 points - behind only defenseman Miro Heiskanen (17) and center Tyler Seguin (21), who had a pair of assists in Monday’s triumph. Versatile forward Roope Hintz was kept off the scoresheet against Vegas, but has four of his team-leading 10 goals in his last five games, while defenseman John Klingberg owns four assists in two contests since returning from the injured list. Anton Khudobin (6-3-1, .929 save percentage) could get a chance to beat Chicago twice in four games after Ben Bishop (9-5-1) made 26 saves Monday.
ABOUT THE BLACKHAWKS (9-9-5): Kane leads the team in goals (11) and points (30) with linemate Alex DeBrincat next at 18 points after collecting eight assists in his last seven contests. Dylan Strome (17) is the only other player with more than 13 points and rookie center Kirby Dach, who was picked third overall in June’s draft, has five goals to go along with five assists since his recalled despite being held to one shot combined the last two games. Veteran goalie Corey Crawford is 3-1-2 with a .933 save percentage this month after going 1-4-0, .888 in October.
