The Winnipeg Jets will be sad to see November end after improving to 10-2-1 this month following Friday's 3-0 victory at Anaheim, and they look to close it out with another win Saturday against the host Los Angeles Kings. Forward Nikolaj Ehlers continued his torrid play with a team-leading 12th goal Friday, the ninth to go along with six assists in 14 games away from home this season, as the Jets improved to 10-4-0 on the road.

Ehlers has points in five of the past seven games, and goaltender Connor Hellebuyck made 24 saves to record his second shutout of the season while improving to 8-2-1 this month with 19 goals allowed in 11 games. The Kings will close the month with the fewest points in the Western Conference (22), falling to 2-3-1 in their past six games after Friday’s 4-1 defeat at San Jose. Forward Kyle Clifford scored the lone goal for Los Angeles, and goaltender Jonathan Quick only stopped 18-of-22 shots in falling to 7-10-1 on the season. Center Alex Iafallo did not have a point Friday, but has recorded 10 (seven assists) in his past 12 contests.

ABOUT THE JETS (16-9-1): Forward Patrik Laine finished with two assists Friday, and in his past seven games has registered 10 points (seven assists) as the Jets are 6-1-0 in that span. Captain Blake Wheeler also added two assists against Anaheim to give him eight points (seven assists) in his past six contests. Defenseman Josh Morrissey recorded an assist Friday and finished with a plus-1 rating, improving to plus-9 in his past 10 games.

ABOUT THE KINGS (10-14-2): Captain Anze Kopitar leads Los Angeles with 10 goals, 17 assists and 27 points, and has at least one point in 10 of his past 12 games (six goals, eight assists). Forward Dustin Brown has points in three of his past five games, including a goal and an assist in Wednesday’s 4-1 upset victory over the New York Islanders. Los Angeles did not score on its only power play opportunity against San Jose, and is 7-for-57 with the man advantage while going 6-9-2 across its past 17 games.

OVERTIME

1. The Kings play nine of their next 11 games away from home after Saturday.

2. The Jets lost D Dmitry Kulikov to an upper-body injury in the first period Friday, meaning D Carl Dahlstrom could play for the first time since Oct. 29 on Saturday.

3. Kopitar’s scored a tiebreaking power-play goal in the third period to lift the Kings past the Jets 3-2 on Oct. 22 in Winnipeg.
