The Vegas Golden Knights try for their fourth straight victory when they visit the New Jersey Devils on Tuesday. Vegas, which has been without No. 1 goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury during the streak, opened its three-game swing through the greater New York City area with a 4-1 victory over the Rangers on Monday behind a pair of goals from Alex Tuch that gave the Golden Knights their first three-game winning streak of the season.
Vegas coach Gerard Gallant told reporters Sunday that he "fully expects" Fleury to rejoin the team at some point on the road trip that concludes Thursday against the New York Islanders. Fleury left the club last week to be with his father, who died Wednesday in Sorel-Tracy, Quebec. Malcolm Subban has performed admirably in Fleury's absence, going 3-1-0 after stopping 29 shots Monday but against New Jersey could serve as the backup to either Fleury or Garret Sparks, who was recalled from AHL Chicago on an emergency basis. The Devils lost 7-1 at Buffalo on Monday - the third time they've allowed that many goals this season - and are 2-5-0 in their last seven contests.

ABOUT THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS (14-11-4): Tuch, who scored a career-high 20 goals in 2018-19, has four in 12 games this season after missing the first 17 contests because of injuries. Reilly Smith scored his team-best 12th goal Monday while Max Pacioretty also tallied, giving him a club-most 26 points. William Karlsson recorded an assist versus New York to snap a six-game point drought.
ABOUT THE DEVILS (9-13-4): Jack Hughes (lower body) missed his second straight game Monday - he was injured blocking a shot in Thursday's 6-4 victory over Montreal - and is questionable to play Tuesday. Mackenzie Blackwood on Monday made 15 saves in relief of Louis Domingue, who allowed five goals on 15 shots and fell to 1-2-0 in four games with New Jersey. Taylor Hall (team-high 21 points) hasn't hit the scoresheet in the last three games and is a minus-7 during that span.
OVERTIME

2. Vegas killed all six New York power plays Monday, improving to fourth in the league in penalty killing.
