Last Meeting ( Nov 14, 2018 ) Anaheim 0, Vegas 5

Two teams streaking in opposite directions face off Friday, when the Vegas Golden Knights visit the Anaheim Ducks. Vegas is seeking its fifth consecutive victory after extending its point streak to seven games (5-0-2) with Tuesday's 2-0 blanking of Los Angeles.

Brandon Pirri recorded a goal and an assist for the second straight game while Marc-Andre Fleury turned aside 17 shots en route to his 23rd victory and sixth shutout -- both league highs. Anaheim continues its six-game homestand in search of its first win since Dec. 17 at Pittsburgh. The Ducks saw their slide reach six contests (0-4-2) with Monday's 2-1 overtime loss to Tampa Bay, which dropped them to 0-0-2 during their stretch at Honda Center. Nick Ritchie scored the lone goal for Anaheim, giving him five points (four assists) in his last three games.

TV: 10 p.m. ET, Sportsnet, AT&T SportsNet-Rocky Mountain (Vegas), FS West (Anaheim)

ABOUT THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS (24-15-4): Pirri has registered six goals and three assists in seven games since being recalled from Chicago of the American Hockey League on Dec. 19. The 27-year-old center, who was selected by the Chicago Blackhawks in the second round of the 2009 draft, tallied three times in two contests with Vegas last season. Alex Tuch has collected two goals and three assists during a four-game point streak that has vaulted him into the team lead in scoring (31 points -- six shy of the career high he set last campaign).

ABOUT THE DUCKS (19-15-7): Ondrej Kase notched an assist against the Lightning for his 14th point (eight goals) in 13 games. The 23-year-old Czech is tied with Pontus Aberg for first on the team with 11 tallies after recording a career-high 20 goals last season. Captain Ryan Getzlaf tops the club with 29 points despite being kept off the scoresheet in each of his last five contests.
