Dream vs Fever Predictions, Picks, Odds for Tonight’s WNBA Game

Caitlin Clark hasn't been able to bring the heat each game consistently, and Atlanta has had its own offensive struggles. Therefore, our WNBA picks are targeting a total simply too high.

The Indiana Fever will try to take advantage of a struggling opponent when they host the Atlanta Dream at Gainbridge Fieldhouse on June 13.

With neither offense blowing my socks off up to this point, my Dream vs. Fever predictions talk all about why the Under is the way to play tonight. Find out more in my WNBA picks ahead!

Dream vs Fever predictions

My best bet
Under 165 (-110 at FanDuel)

My analysis
The Atlanta Dream are coming off their worst loss of the year, and once again, the offense was to blame. Atlanta scored just 68 points against the Mystics — the sixth time in seven games that it was held under 80.

The Dream are averaging just 75.8 points per game this season — second-lowest in the WNBA — and their 94.8 offensive rating is also Bottom 2. Combine that with the fact Atlanta plays at one of the slowest paces in the league, and it’s easy to see why the team has been one of the more consistent Under bets.

The Indiana Fever play at only a slightly faster pace, and their offensive rating of 95.9 ppg sits among the lowest. The Fever also rank third-worst in the WNBA in scoring, averaging just 77.5 ppg.

Unlike Atlanta, Indiana can’t play much defense. The Fever have been blitzed by their opponents to the tune of 89.8 ppg, with high-scoring opponents like New York and Seattle even hitting the century mark.

But the Dream aren't those teams. Allisha Gray (15.3 ppg), Rhyne Howard (15.2 ppg), and Tina Charles (12.8 ppg) are all capable of scoring here and there, but there isn’t a single weapon or a scheme that will tear apart the Indiana defense as others have.

Both sides are struggling to score, and that shouldn’t change tonight — at least not enough to beat a surprisingly high total.

Caitlin Clark odds, prop for tonight

My best bet
Caitlin Clark Under 17.5 points (-114 at FanDuel)

My analysis
Clark’s up-and-down rookie campaign continues to alternate between impressive performances that make her look like the star she was in college and nights where she looks overmatched by her more experienced professional opponents. The Fever’s last game was more of the latter, where Clark scored just 10 points with two assists against Connecticut.

Clark has found it difficult to score against some of the better defensive teams in the WNBA, which have found ways to put her under pressure and denied her the time and space to make plays. Along with Connecticut, teams like the Liberty, Aces, and Sky have found success in containing the all-time NCAA points leader.

Atlanta doesn't quite meet the standard of those teams, but it has a solid enough defensive unit, especially on the perimeter. Gray and Howard will likely both get chances to defend Clark, and both are capable of generating turnovers and forcing her to get rid of the ball in the backcourt.

Clark hasn’t been hitting her scoring mark for the most part in June, averaging just 13.5 ppg over her last four outings. With her scoring props remaining on high numbers despite that trend, I’m taking the Under tonight.

Dream vs Fever same-game parlay (SGP)

Under 165

Fever +2.5

Caitlin Clark Under 17.5 points

This should be a typically low-scoring affair for the Dream, and that’s the basis for my same-game parlay. I’m taking the game Under, and also picking the Fever to cover the spread. Indiana may well win this game outright at home, so getting 2.5 points is a solid boost to our chances of winning this bet.

Successful sports betting is about consistently beating the closing line value, which requires finding spots where one book is offering odds far better than the rest of the market and jumping on those opportunities.
