The Atlanta Dream got off to a solid start this season before dropping two in a row, and they’ll look to rebound against the Chicago Sky on June 8.

Rhyne Howard will need to lead the charge for Atlanta if that's the case, and my Dream vs. Sky predictions expect her to stuff the stat sheet. Find out all about it in the WNBA picks below.

Dream vs Sky predictions

My best bet
Rhyne Howard Over 22.5 points + rebounds + assists (-130 at bet365)

My analysis
While Howard’s 3-point shooting has been iffy to start the season, she remains one of the most challenging matchups in the league.

At 6-foot-2, she has the size of a frontcourt player but the skill of a guard, all while offering the ability to win around the glass and set up teammates for easy buckets. Howard is averaging 15.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists through eight games this season

She’s already topped 22.5 points, rebounds, and assists in four games despite the Atlanta Dream playing a gauntlet of a schedule to start the year. While the Chicago Sky look improved from seasons past, this is still a team with a losing record (4-5) that should struggle to contain a talent like Howard.

Chicago is allowing 78.7 points per game and has been particularly bad inside the arc, where Howard’s been cooking. The Sky allow the third-most 2-pointers per game (22.9) with opponents shooting the fourth-highest percentage from two in the WNBA (47.6%).

Howard also happens to be one of the better rebounding guards in the WNBA thanks to her size. That’ll come in handy against this Chicago team that allows the third-most rebounds per game to opponents (36.8).

Dream vs Sky same-game parlay (SGP)

Rhyne Howard Over 22.5 points+rebounds+assists

Allisha Gray Over 1.5 threes

Angel Reese Over 8.5 rebounds

Gray has hit at least two threes in five games this season and should have open looks with Chicago focused on stopping Howard. However, the Dream could struggle with giving Chicago extra opportunities thanks to their rookie rebounding phenom.

Angel Reese is averaging 9.2 boards per game, and a jaw-dropping 5.1 of them have come on the offensive end. She’s had six games of at least nine rebounds, including double-digit boards in three straight.
