It’s a big WNBA Saturday, with a doubleheader featuring three of the top four teams in the standings — and a busy player props market adds to the intrigue.

The New York Liberty and Connecticut Sun collide in a heavyweight Eastern Conference clash, while the Minnesota Lynx try to shut down Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever.

To prepare for the action, I’ve poured through my favorite WNBA picks for tonight’s games.

WNBA player prop bets for August 24

Today's best WNBA player props bets

Prop bet #1: Breanna Stewart Over 18.5 points

-120 at bet365

The New York Liberty’s eight-game win streak has helped to pad their WNBA-best record, and Breanna Stewart is a big reason for New York boasting a 14-1 mark at home in 2024.

I see Stewart being the difference-maker again here. She’s gone past this number in five of her last six games, including a 31-point outing against the WNBA All-Stars in an Olympics tune-up.

With Sabrina Ionescu ruled out for New York’s two matchups with the Dallas Wings this week, Stewart took charge. The efficiency wasn’t there but she scored 19 points on Thursday, on the heels of 26 points earlier in the week.

The Connecticut Sun are an imposing defensive team — it’s no fluke that they are allowing the fewest points in the league this season — but Stewart will pose problems for DeWanna Bonner and Brionna Jones in the paint.

Stewart is averaging just under 20 points per game this season and I’m comfortable with the O/U line here, especially against an opponent that’s on the second night of a back-to-back set.

Prop bet #2: Caitlin Clark Over 28.5 points + assists

-114 at FanDuel

Caitlin Clark’s rapid rise has transformed the Indiana Fever, and I’m predicting another big stat line tonight against the Minnesota Lynx.

This points + rebounds O/U might feel like a big number, but Clark has scored 23 or more points in three straight games — and at least 17 points in seven consecutive contests. That provides a high floor.

Clark has also been on a tear with her assist numbers, posting 10 or more dimes in seven of her last nine games, including a 19-assist masterpiece against the crumbling Wings.

With her game improving with every passing week, Clark has hit the Over on this number in six of her past seven contests, and she routinely has defenses scrambling on the perimeter despite only shooting 33% from deep this year.

The Fever should score freely tonight, particularly with the Lynx coming off a big effort last night against the Las Vegas Aces, and the majority of their offense puts Clark at the controls.

Prop bet #3: Napheesa Collier Over 9.5 rebounds

-105 at bet365

Although I'm not expecting Napheesa Collier to match the career-high 18 rebounds she pulled down last night against the Aces in a remarkable performance, 9.5 is a manageable number to eclipse for the Lynx’s No.1 paint presence.

Collier is averaging 10.2 rebounds per game in 2024 — the third-best mark in the league — and she’s finished with double-digit boards in five of her last eight outings.

Indiana has struggled on the road this season while Minnesota is 13-3 at home, so I see the visitors making a sluggish start here. That’s a recipe for Collier to pad her numbers on the glass — just as she did with 10 first-half boards against Las Vegas.

Tonight’s clash should be played at a fast tempo, providing enough possessions for Collier to cash in the Over on this prop, and I see her getting the upper hand against the Fever’s Aliyah Boston and Nalyssa Smith at both ends of the floor.
