Kelsey Plum knows how to raise her game at the highest stakes, and our WNBA prop picks are backing her to come up big when the Aces face the Lynx tonight.

Wednesday's WNBA player props picks center around a must-see double-header packed with big names and in-form scorers, headlined by a clash between the Minnesota Lynx and Las Vegas Aces.

But there’s plenty at stake in the Phoenix Mercury-Atlanta Dream showdown too, and I'm backing a veteran star to rise to the occasion.

The player props markets are booming for these August 21 matchups, and I’ve picked out my three favorite WNBA picks for tonight.

WNBA player prop bets for August 21

Today's best WNBA player props bets

Prop bet #1: Tina Charles Over 22.5 points + rebounds

(-115 at bet365)

The Atlanta Dream made a statement last weekend, bottling up the Connecticut Sun in an eye-catching 82-70 victory and moving to 2-0 since the season resumed.

Tina Charles was the difference-maker that afternoon with 22 points and 15 rebounds, and I’m predicting another big game from the Atlanta veteran here as she squares off against Brittney Griner and the rest of the Mercury frontcourt.

Charles seems to have benefitted from the Olympic break in a big way and she cleared this 22.5 O/U line in both games last week.

She’s well-placed to have an impact in the paint against a Mercury team that’s been outrebounded in their last two contests, and she could take a chunk out of this total with double-digit boards.

The Dream are only 1.5 games out of the No. 8 seed, and Charles is one of the keys to a postseason push. I see her putting up big numbers in tonight’s contest.

Prop bet #2: Kayla McBride Under 15.5 points

(-115 at bet365)

With Napheesa Collier dominating the stat sheet for the Minnesota Lynx, the rest of the roster can sometimes get overlooked. That includes Kayla McBride, who’s having a steady year in the backcourt.

But I don’t like this matchup against the Aces’ long-armed defense and strong interior presence, and the Under on this points prop stands out.

McBride is easing her way back into WNBA action after the month-long interval, and she served up two steady outings against the Washington Mystics last week.

Minnesota cruised to easy wins, but McBride was held under this 15.5 O/U line in both games.

It’s been boom-or-bust with McBride over her past six games, with a 30-point effort against the Atlanta Dream and four outings with 12 points or fewer.

I’ll stick with the Las Vegas defense here and take my chances fading this total.

Prop bet #3: Kelsey Plum Over 17.5 points

(-115 at bet365)

By her own high standards, Kelsey Plum hasn’t shot the ball quite as well in 2024. After finishing with a 47% mark from downtown last season, she’s at 41% this year — but she’s still averaging 18 ppg.

That’s exactly where this O/U sits, and there were encouraging signs in her 6-for-13 shooting line against the Los Angeles Sparks last weekend on the way to 18 points.

The Las Vegas Aces would surely love to ease the burden on A’ja Wilson, and Plum is a hugely dangerous sidekick when her 3-pointers are falling. She made four triples last time out, and she reached the 20-point mark in five of her eight outings in July.

Plum has struggled against the Lynx in their two meetings this year, but I’m predicting enough good looks to cash this Over.
