Sky vs Fever Predictions, Picks, Odds for Today’s WNBA Game

While Angel Reese might not be able to match Caitlin Clark point-for-point in their latest grudge match, our WNBA betting picks believe she'll be a dominating presence down low on Sunday afternoon.

Sparks usually fly when Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese collide, so buckle up for the latest installment today as the Indiana Fever host the Chicago Sky.

The Fever enter as slight favorites in the latest WNBA odds and will look to build on a win over the Atlanta Dream on Thursday, while the Sky are coming off a disappointing loss to the struggling Washington Mystics.

I break down this afternoon’s matchup in my Sky vs. Fever predictions and WNBA picks, which call for Reese to get the upper hand.

Sky vs Fever predictions

My best bet
Angel Reese Over 10.5 rebounds (+100 at bet365)

My analysis

Whether you call it a transition year or a rebuilding process, the youth movement is in full swing for the Chicago Sky — and the early signs are promising despite a 4-8 record. That includes Angel Reese, who already looks like a franchise cornerstone for the Sky and is the focus for my best bet this afternoon.

I had the Over on Reese’s rebounding total as a top pick on Thursday against the Mystics, where she finished with 14 rebounds, including three offensive boards. Though the O/U has climbed from 9.5 to 10.5 here to reflect Reese’s consistency on the glass, the Over still feels within reach.

Reese’s consistency continues to show up in the box score. She’s had 11 or more rebounds in four of her last six games and she’s put together at least 10 in all of those. While she’s been in a funk with her shooting lately, there have been no signs of that affecting her hustling defensive effort.

If this is a low-scoring scrap, there should be a steady diet of misses and lots of activity on the boards. Keep in mind that the Indiana Fever have been out-rebounded in four of their five outings this month.

When these teams squared off at the start of June, Reese piled up 13 rebounds, and I’m predicting a similar haul here for the talented rookie.

Caitlin Clark odds, prop for tonight

My best bet
Over 2.5 made 3s (-125 at FanDuel)

My analysis

It says everything about Caitlin Clark’s shooting threat that this O/U sits where it does heading into today’s contest.

Clark has combined for just 11 attempts from deep across her last two games, and she’s only knocked down three or more triples in one of her last five contests. But I expect a little extra edge against Reese — a rival from her college days and their Iowa vs. LSU showdowns.

The spotlight has been as bright as ever for Clark this week after her omission from the Team USA Olympics squad, and I see that spilling over into an aggressive, shoot-first start on the way to making at least three 3-pointers.

Sky vs Fever same-game parlay (SGP)

Angel Reese Over 10.5 rebounds

Fever moneyline

Aliyah Boston Over 8.5 rebounds

With the Sky slumping to a 1-5 mark in their last six games, I’m hesitant to pick the visitors or lay the points. That leads me to the Fever moneyline.

The hosts outlasted the Dream this week with Clark only scoring seven points, and they narrowly edged their prior meeting against this Chicago team in a 71-70 rockfight on June 1.

Aliyah Boston’s monster game was a big reason for Indiana getting past Atlanta last time out, but I’m fading her rebounds prop here despite two straight double-digit totals on the glass.

The Sky’s paint presence is on another level, with Reese and Kamilla Cardoso lurking, and I see Boston finishing closer to her season average of 7.4 rpg.

Sky vs Fever spread and Over/Under analysis

  • With the Sky in the midst of a rough stretch, the Fever have a golden opportunity in this national TV spot and they’re 4-1 in their last five Sunday games.
  • Chicago is 1-5 ATS in its last six contests and could be without center Elizabeth Williams again this afternoon.
  • While the Over is 10-2 in Chicago’s last 12 games against a team with a losing record, the visitors have been held to 80 points or fewer in four of their past six games and that makes today’s line of 164.5 a stretch.
  • The Sky are last in the league in 3-point makes (4.4) and attempts (14.6) per game this season — and the ones they take are only dropping in at a 30% clip. That’s another reason to lean towards the Under.
