I am not terribly worried about the Wolf's weight.  He is a dozen over his last fight, but he is still fairly young (developing) and the year+ off probably allowed him to bulk up a bit without going to pot.  Not saying I wouldn't rather have him 240, but a heavy heavyweight isn't as bad as say a heavy lightweight.

G8RB8 - Manny Steward was also the one in the corner telling him to pick up the pace and that KP would wear down. I do believe that KP usually is the one that keeps up the high work rate in all of his fights so that advice he gave JT was wrong. You have to remember, any other ref would have stopped that fight in the 2nd round. I just think if JT doesn't blow his load like he did in those first two rounds, and go to the body a little to take away some of KPs power then he should be good to go the distance. I guess we will just see on fight night
 
LetMeSpin - I believe that was the first time in JT's career that he was really hurt. And he took KPs punches all night long, I just think it was just the amount of right hands that landed that eventually got to him and wore him down. I agree that JT doesn't have great power, but he has fast and quick hands and against KP a lot of his punches were looping shots, and if you get a few of those behind the ear then your going down no matter what. For your examples of Vargas and Roy, with Vargas I think he may have been put in a little too early with the big boys in Trinidad. I don't think Vargas was ever a REAL top fighter anyway, but his big fights just proved that. With Roy, he was on his way out when he got knocked out. If he fought Tarver and Glen Johnson even 5 years ago, his speed and elusiveness that he relied on his whole career would not have allowed him to get knocked out by those 2 C+ fighters.

Yeah, the 5th round was Taylor's; it was his best round in the fight outside of the 2nd.  It was a really a last stand, Pavlik took over in the 6th and 7th.

Seem you since so convinced that Pavlik only has a right hand and Taylor is much more effective with the jab I thought I would dig up the punch stats since you don't seem to believe it in words.

What do you think was setting up that right hand?

Yep, through round 6 Taylor had a significant lead on those bogus cards.  After round 7 what would the cards have looked like?  If Taylor is able to take a knee before the shots that did him in it's a 10-8 round and Pavlik is down by 1 point on two cards, even if Pavlik doesn't put him down it's a 2 point margin on those cards.  Needless to say I don't think you will see anymore Taylor favoritism on the cards, Pavlik is the meal ticket now and Vegas judges tend to award the fighter who is coming forward.  It's probably a moot point anyway, I don't think the cards will play a role here.

How does a young champion blow his load throwing 72 and 75 punches in a two round period?  That's Pavlik's average output in every round.

When have Taylor's shots not been looping?

Should Delvin win?  Yes, he is a big favorite for a reason.  Though I don't know how much confidence you could ever have in someone who was knocked out by Feliciano.

really looking forward to this fight..sure taylor can win but i like Pavlik, i think he is THAT good

Well I bought out of my over in Valuev-White Wolf at thegreek.  No use banking on a 250 lb career high version of Sergey not running into stamina problems.

No, not here in the US.  I don't know if you have a streamtv account, but they are showing it tomorrow afternoon.

You know what Fullbrights, if some1 would bet DRod up, and get me 7:1 or better, I might could stand a small swing on TB. TB has never been beaten, he's one of my favorite Boxing things (a Koufax), though he is unYoung. & I kan't be sure, but the Stills I've found of TB make him look like he's got a shortish Reach for his Height/Size? But I have no video to look at so take that FWIW.

Did you see him on FNF last year against the youngster from Mexico?  I thought he won more or less because Garcia did nothing, I don't think Delvin will be so cooperative. 

I don't remember much about his reach, that fight was quite forgettable.
