As I stated, the information I had -180 and that it would increase appears to be true. Still, we even with a late surge on Williams, this late of a line is ridiculous, and maybe the first time I've seen of in fight of this magnitude.

Winky hasn't had a KO since 7 years ago. He hasn't fought in nearly 2 years... also 1 total KO/TKO in a decade. To think with such a layoff for him, he will most likely comeout with his best skills of defense and jabbing. He is a ring technician, not a finisher. Juan Manuel Marquez is an example of a great technician, and adjusts as he goes, but Marquez has that toe-to-toe aggressiveness, and rightly so with a great chin, speed, power, and stamina. Most importantly, he seizes the right opportunities. Winky stays game plan and it wins fights, unless a cut or swelling on Williams that happens, I feel Winky ITD is a terrible wager.

Williams is fighting Winky for the big name recognition, TV date, and money...no fighter says "promoter, I want to fight Winky Wright," who has quite arguably one oft he best defences on boxing. Williams needs Winky more than the other way around.
Winky = bigger name, bigger pay-day, and TV date
Wouldn't you fight Winky if you were williams, or fight bums and lose the reputation of the boxing pugists?

Winky has been one of the most avoided fighters for years, for the reason that he is hard to defeat. Williams has been "avoided" for years cause he doesn't have a big following. Big difference

I could be very wrong, and Williams could blast Winky the hell out of there. Doubt it, but we have seen stranger things in boxing. Assuming there is some big plus money on the UNDER, might play it for some change as well

Williams is avoided because he is 6"1 and is a southpaw that weighs 154lbs
Agreed Cotto ducked him, Margarito didn't want a rematch he took 2 MILLION less to fight Mosley, and look what happened lol!
Everyone forgets one thing that is impossible to shake off is RING RUST! I don't care who you are, if you take off of boxing for 2 years for truly NO reason, then your heart is NOT in boxing.
People want to hold onto the Winky Wright of the past, his defense was good and he's a south paw.
Well guess what he's more flat footed now and his defense is no where near what it once was!
Paul has 3 inches in height, 8 inches in reach, and a south paw also! Oh and 4 fights in 2 years.
Take Paul Williams laying what is a very generous line -190.
Remember the words .. RING RUST!

6'2" is the maximum listed on official records (although they list him at 185cm 6'1" everywhere else), his thin physique and long reach give him a perception of appearing much taller. Remember also, many of his opponents are smaller. Verno is 5'8", Quintana is 5'10" (which is considered roughly average by many boxing stats), and Mitchell is also 5'7". Most taller fighters don't do well in those divisions, that's why the most common height for a real contender in that weight class is around 5'9" (Mosley's height).

I hope some of the people who were on Winky changed their wagers. It was my biggest play in 3 years. All the extra insight and information was helpful here.
