Wright State missing a key player. The Raiders no longer have DaShaun Wood and he was the Horizon League Player of the Year last season. His absence is a big part of the reason the Raiders are 2-2 on the season (heading into Butler game) with two losses to Marist and Valparaiso who are far from being powerhouses. The 15 point loss to Marist is particularly troubling for Wright State as they certainly are capable of being dominated by a deeper and more experienced team this evening.
If you had told me before the game against Butler that Wright State would have been held to just 43 points I would have told you that a definite easy win for the Bulldogs was on tap. As it turned out the Bulldogs really struggled from the field and got outscored 10-2 to end the game. Wright State's fans stormed the court after the game. Yes, that was a big win for the Raiders and they won't have much left in the tank here!
Bradley heads to the Nutter Center well rested as they have been off since Tuesday. It was on that night that the Braves gave Michigan State absolutely all the Spartans could handle. The fact that Bradley still lost the game, and that this game against Wright State is their only game in a two week span, insures that the Braves are going to bring an intense effort to Wright State tonight. Bradley has the best backcourt in the Missouri Valley Conference with Daniel Ruffin and Jeremy Crouch, two senior guards, leading the way. The Braves beat the Raiders by nearly 40 points in Peoria last season. While this game will be much closer it's still shaping up to be a solid Braves win. The same mismatches that worked last season will be in full effect here as well
