SATURDAY GAME $$$$
KANSANS -2 $$$$
I have been laying low since losing my last two $$$$ picks by 2 points and 1/2 a point respectively, but this spot is too good to pass up to my eyes.
Kansas has the perimeter defense to make thinks more difficult for the Villanova 3 point attack that caught Miami sleeping in the round of 16. Something interesting here is Kansas's 14 games played against the top 25 teams in the nation where they were 11-3. Villanova, conversely, only played six games against the top 25 and split those at just 3-3.
Don't get me wrong, Villanova is a fine team and is capable of shooting lights out again. However, we are talking about a one possession line and Kansas has been the most consistent team in the entire country. Something tells me this line ticks up to 3 by tip, so get your bets in early.

North Carolina/Indiana
Thanks to Maryland's second half "no show" it's time to right the ship on Friday. Plenty to choose from and my favorite play is "under 2" in the Haiti/Panama World Cup Qualifier but just too much juice to make it a $$$$ pick.
North Carolina and Indiana face off in the second game in Philadelphia on Friday night. Here's the justification for my play:
$$$$ Pick: North Carolina vs Indiana under 159
Jesus, Indiana is a disgrace.
Florida Gulf Coast played UNC tougher.

Montrose vs Annan
Forget the NCAA tournament for now as I can't win a $$$$ pick there to save my life. When it comes to a slump buster nothing hits the spot quite like Scottish football (soccer).
Plenty of winners in the lower divisions in Scotland tomorrow (Saturday) so the hard part is choosing just one for the main pick.
After much deliberation we'll drop down to the dregs of the Scottish 2nd division (actually, the 4th level of Scottish soccer) for a match between Montrose and Annan at Links Park.
These two teams average 3.47 and 3.43 goals per game respectively. Two of their three meetings this year had at least five goals scored.
Montrose had had 3+ goals scored in 7 of 11 games while Annan has done the same in 11 of 13 games.
Gary Fraser has bagged 17 goals in 29 games for Montrose so odds are good that he finds the net. On the other side Annan is much more balanced getting 13 in 21 game from old man Peter Weatherson, 11 from Matt Flynn (no, not the Packers QB) and another 9 from Nigerian defender Smart Osadolor.
$$$$ Pick: Montrose vs Annan over 3 (-115)
Others I like a lot in order of preference:
Stenhousemuir/Forfar o3 (+101) 2 of the 3 meetings with at least 4 goals scored. Stenhousemuir has 6 of 7 games wit h4 goals or more and 5 of 7 games with 5 goals or more. 70% of Stenhousemuir's games have at least 3 goals scored and the ball has been in the net 108 times in their 30 games.
Dunfermline (-1.5) (-125) & o3 (-110) Dunfermline has won 6-1, 3-1 and 2-1 in their 3 previous encounters. They are the dominant team in the league and, while Brechin has won 4 out of 5, they should come crashing down in this one. Dunfermline has scored 5 goals and then 6 goals in two of their last three home games.
Peterhead/Cowdenbeath o3.5 (-108) Cowdenbeath's road matches average 4.07 goals/game
Ayr ML (-102) just a better team at home at almost even money.
