Great thread Bubba thank you for the work here.   First post on this thread.  I'm an ex-hockey player and have been in a playoff hunt but also played when you are out of it completely.   Let's take a look at Vancouver vs. San Jose tonight:

At first glance you see a San Jose team that is playing for top spot in the Pacific and should on paper blow the doors off Vancouver just like they did to Calgary the other night.   Line is at 5 and all money is on the over, Ducks PL and ML.   I see a lot of value in the under here tonight.   As a Canucks player you are at the end of a road trip and a lot of the fringe players are playing for next year's contract.   Goal is to not get embarrassed.   Close game = win here and you can enjoy a long plane ride home and weekend off before you play at home on Monday.

Vancouver in it's last 10 games has scored 1.4 goals a game and if you exclude last game it's 1.2 goals.   Only way to compete is to play a close grinding game.   I see a 2-1, 3-1 type of affair here.

$$$$Canucks vs. Ducks u5 +110$$$$

BOL all.

Bubba, my play above is a $$$$ play, which I put at the top and bottom along with the teams and the lines, but it did not show up in my post for some strange reason.  (Maybe I didn't un-highlight it after bolding and centering it.)

You should have waited now only -3
I'd be careful with this one. GL

I am playing the under in this game for the following reasons:

-Both teams want to win this game. Boston is barely holding on to a playoff spot and St Louis is trying to catch Dallas as the one seed

-St Louis has given up one goal in the last FIVE GAMES

-Boston has gone 1-6 in their last 7 games scoring 10 goals combined in that span

This time of year is really difficult to handicap in both the nba and nhl based on game importance and teams resting for the playoffs. I believe this game will have more of a playoff type atmosphere and will end up being a low scoring affair.

$$$$ play St Louis/Boston under 5 -110

Fade or follow best of luck to everyone and thank you to all the posters who make this thread worth reading on a daily basis.

Really like this play here too sir!

Here is some added info:
  • Under is 13-4 for Blues on two days rest.
  • Under is 6-1 in Bruins last 7 road games.
  • Under is 7-1-2 in Bruins last 10 overall.

Fowler gave us a scare again on the last hole luckily Stenson didn't birdie.  That double bogey on the back 9 kept him from putting up a great score but a win is a win and I am not complaining.

I saw your post yesterday about Fowler > Stenson.  So I took it.  Then saw they finished tied at -3. But then further realized I bet them for the TOURNAMENT, not round one.  Well, at least I have a reason to sweat some golf this weekend!

I think my total now here is 2-1 YTD in this thread....here we go with another one!

I'm leaning toward an NBA play or NCAA play to choose. Since I've already posted a separate thread on my NCAA pick, I'm going to post one of my NBA ones!

$$$$ +3 Orlando Magic $$$$

Technically, it is down to +2.5 but I took it early. Why Orlando today? ALL OF THE TEAM IS BACK AND HEALTHY! Let's not forget how good Orlando was at the beginning of the season until the injury bug started hitting them. Now that Oladipo, Vucevic and Nicholson are all back on the team, they have strung in a nice 3 game win streak (beating Chicago and Indy) and I expect more wins coming.

Additionally, every time I see 80% or more of the "expert" pick and my pick is opposite, I usually like it even more.

Good luck everyone.

Ducks PL-1.5 -103 $$$$$

yesterday I hit several of my big dogs-didn't post them all but Montreal and Ottawa easily covered my losses...but tonight with the Ducks as a huge favorite, it's not going to happen...The Nucks as said above average 1 goal a game since February, the Ducks offense has exploded the last 2 weeks...averaging 4 goals a game the L10...

They need a win to stay ahead of LA for the Division...this is no country for old(dead) teams...
