I feel Atlanta can whole Lebron in check better than any other team. In addition, all they have to do is put a warm body on Love and he is pretty much useless. They are quick enough to guard the 3 on the perimeter and the Cavaliers are going to have a tough time scoring. I might even parlay this with the under. Atlanta has lost the last 3 meetings and is due for a breakout. They took 4 in a row from the Cavaliers last year, including December 2014. They got destroyed their last 2 games, losing by 30 in May 2015. It's time for payback!

First of all, big shoutout to Bubba, and USC_Homley before him for creating this thread, you've taken a quantitative finance professional who used to be a degenerate gambler (an agruably still is) and forced him to put some thought and time into his capping, which has proven successful recently (4-0) run since an initial loss.
As a result I'm going to try my hand at handicapping the NBA, I've played a lot of DK, but I shy away from NBA given the difficulty I've heard it creates for cappers. Anyway, testing my luck here with two non-$$$$ picks but ones I like
Wizards -9 vs Suns
This is a must win game for the wizards. As an ailing team looking like they're dropping out of the playoffs, this is a must-win for them and the lowly suns is just what they need. No bledsoe, no knight, no luer, this suns team will have to rely on it's offense to keep pace with the wizards. I see a scenario where the suns at home shoot lights out and just overwhelm the wizards into dysfunctional play as has been the trend recently, but I'm fading that notion, these are grown men, and as belichick famously told his players, the wizards just need to DO THEIR JOB to man handle the suns. This line moved from -7 to -9 but they should win by double digits.
I also like the Jazz -7 over the wolves, it's a win and in game for them and they've been playing lights out at home, even forced GS to OT. I might look to take a live in-game line if I get -7 or better.

-Both teams want to win this game. Boston is barely holding on to a playoff spot and St Louis is trying to catch Dallas as the one seed
-St Louis has given up one goal in the last FIVE GAMES
-Boston has gone 1-6 in their last 7 games scoring 10 goals combined in that span
This time of year is really difficult to handicap in both the nba and nhl based on game importance and teams resting for the playoffs. I believe this game will have more of a playoff type atmosphere and will end up being a low scoring affair.
