Tread lightly on my $$$$ :

The under is 8-3 in Southern last 11 overall and is 7-3 in their last 10 neutral site games. The under is 8-3 in Jackson State last 11 neutral site games. Now take these stats with a grain of salt because the under has not been set as low as 132/133 before.in Southern's games.

So I have to throw this out there because I think it is an interesting story line.  If Tulane wins today and tomorrow they make it to the big dance  where they will have the worst record in the bracket AND Tulane leaked once the season is over their coach is fired.  Does anyone think this team has a chip on their shoulder and their coach is building his resume for his next job or is Memphis' uptempo pace going to be crammed down their throat and kick Tulane in the butt on their way out?

I really am leaning towards Maryland in this game.  I know Michigan State is hands down the hottest team in the country but this is a neutral site game where Maryland is 5-0 this year.  I also think Maryland is athletic and large enough wingspan to take away Valentine.  Maybe I will just lay off this game.

Have not seen Detroitnail since the old CBS days USC started this thread and then vanished just like he did in those days,some things never change.

He didn't "vanish" you crabby old fart.  He told everyone he was shutting down his accounts and closing up for the year.  He usually did after 1st week of big dance anyway, but did it earlier this year because he hit a cold streak.  Bubba took the wheel and the thread hasn't skipped a beat.  


DetroitNail, Cambyspree99, and Cuso all pitched in and bought a Chipotle in Fort Wayne IN.  They are all living together at an Extended Stay America (not sure which one, there are two in Ft. Wayne).

Started back there about 9-10 years ago.  They shut down their forums about 3 years ago, give or take.

Ok, just curious. I was on there until I think about 2002. One of the guys (I believe Ricky was his name) started a forum site called Got Picks and most of the guys that I knew left CBS and went there. I believe that forum is still around although only a handful of guys use it anymore

BK is correct, USC Holmey continued something great on here.  He planned on stopping when the BIG DANCE starts but he stopped several days earlier because of the bad beat that occurred.  I feel him though... I tailed and that last second back door really messed me up.  But wished he could come back to chat.

Ok Here goes Dynamite....5-2 as a locker and having a mixed week otherwise.  I am an ACC specialist who last guided you with the UNC call yesterday.  it was so easy the you may think i would be heading back to the well BUT

$$$$ UVA +2.5

UVA 9-2 verses the top 50 this year.  I think they are the best team in the country who get somewhat overlooked by being such a defense oriented team.......Something happened on the way to the Big Dance, they became offensive too

UNC only 4-5 vs the top 50 this year and their only win away from home was the Dookies last week

Quite simply defense wins championships......UVA the number 2 defensive team in the country.  UNC feasted thus far on teams that cannot defend.  That stops tonight.  The Tarwheels get exposed as the Apple Dumpling Gang or the team that cannot shoot straight!!!

The wrong team favored here.   Lock it up and good luck.

I like Memphis...a wise man in Rounders once said, "you can't run from who you are."...And Tulane flat out sucks and Memphis has revenge here...coaching change was exposed before last night, they got lucky against Houston who gave the game away...their momentum from their coach getting fired is good for one night usually...just like a star out for a game, the 2nd game after, reality sets in...

Memphis has to win this tournament to get in...they shouldn't take anything for granted but we saw earlier today reality set in for crappy teams like LSU...look for a blow out in the second half...

It *is* an interesting story line, but I took Memphis -11 to tail Scalabrine even though I don't like giving up that many points.  I also jumped on Michigan St -5.

I'm kind of pissed that I tend to sleep in so often.  Too games I absolutely would have bet (especially with the write ups on this thread) were St Joes +3 and Purdue.  Darn, I could have used a few early college winners today after losing so many close games right at the buzzer yesterday.  Looking at you Kansas, Cal, Oklahoma, St Bonny!!!!!!

I will throw out a pick completely from left field

Anybody on Cal State Bakersfield -1.5? 

No way I can make this a $$$ play, this is the wacky WAC conference after all where all kinds of strange things happen.  But Bakersfield has put together a good season and will be looking to avenge two very close losses to rival New Mexico State.  They lost at home to them in double OT by 1, then went on the road and was neck and neck with them until last 5-6 minutes where New Mexico St went on a mini run and ended up winning by 8. 

Game is in Vegas, suspect quite a few Bakersfield locals will have made the trip to try and see their team win the tournament as it is not a very far drive from Bakersfield, CA to Las Vegas.

Again, this is the WAC so it goes without saying to tread carefully.  But from what I've read and heard, Cal Bakersfield wants this championship, a hungry team. 

No $$$$ play for me today, I just did not see any game that called out to me other than Michigan St, and I barely got the play in before tipoff so no time to write up anything. 

Good luck, looks like quite a few plays are hitting for everybody today.  That is good!
