Good info, thanks.  I will look into this further and may add more to LB State depending on how the rest of my best go today.  Appreciate all the great info sharing this daily thread provides.

A previous poster in today's thread pointed out how well Virginia does versus top 50 opponents as compared to UNC.  Also, they like to play defense.  A case can be made for Virginia +2 although I am laying off this game.

I like UNC here.  They seem hungrier.  Also like Long Beach State tonight to.  I think that game will come down to the wire so I have to take the points.  

That was my worst $$$$ of my 20+ I have given. I sincerely apologize.  I watched the Jackson State game go over last night and saw them really moving the ball around I didn't know it was going to be that type of delay pace today.  Awful play by me.  Still having a great day so hope I didn't set too many people back.  

I am getting ready to crunch the numbers from Friday and will post an updated leader board and summary.  This will NOT include today's games as I am hoping to get Saturday done tomorrow.  I really just haven't had any time today.

UVA plays defense.  Greenberg and Williams hit it on the head about UNC.  They get frustrated when they are screened hard and guarded close.  UVA lives off of that.  The difference in tonight and a couple weeks ago is that UNC has confidence.  Carolina is peaking right now. Paige is back and we know it.

UNC will at some point tonight go small.  Last night they did it and outscored ND by a ton. 

Whether its UVA tempo and hit big shots, or play small and create turnovers.. Doesn't matter, bring it on UVA!!!

CS-Bakersfield -1.5

Nothing makes absolutely sense in this line. So why defies all the odd and play the "underdog" who is actually FAVORED on a neutral court?

5th straight WAC final for NM State.

11 straight wins against CS-Bakersfield...practically 11-0 in their history.

NM State has gained eligibility each year for the last 4 years for their claim to the WAC title.

Even 2 losses already this year to NM State already and this team has eliminated them from the WAC tournament the last 2 years.

Seriously what gives? Clearly the wrong team is favored here because history and experience goes to this NM State team.

I'm gonna ride this out going against the public play of NM State and laying the obvious chalk with the Roadrunners as something this fishy can only mean Vegas knows what's it's doing.

Pathetic write-up but it's hard to defy these terms and yet want to play the undergo whom should be favorite. Lines like these always make me want to play against the popular pick.

Give me CS-Bakersfield -1.5 as my $$$$ Play.

I'm gonna watch the late line movement for sure in this one.

Bakersfield has EVERYTHING to play for this one and will definitely lay it on the line to finally end "history" ALA Seton Hall today.

@SikSenses - yeah I wrote a little write up on Cal State Bakersfield on page 3 of this thread.  I agree the line is a tad fishy, buy hey, it's the wacky WAC!  Nothing sinister would ever go on in that conference, right?  LOL

I also am on CS Bakersfield -1.5, although I do not have the faith in any WAC game to make it an official $$ play.  I do live in socal though and read a bit about them and have friends of friends who live out there in the hot desert of Bakersfield.  They have high hopes for *finally* getting the NM State monkey off of their backs.  And really, the two games the teams played against each other this season were quite close.  CS Bakersfield came so close to winning at home and also was right there on the road until the last few minutes. 

Plus, again from what I hear, CS Bakersfield will have a decent amount of fans making the short trip from Bakersfield to Las Vegas to attend the game and hopefully watch history get made.  Not sure how well NM State travels.  So the line is not *that* crazy, it opened as a pick 'em and now Bakersfield a tiny favorite.

I'm riding Bakersfield purely from the local stuff I've heard.  It's time to end the NM State bugaboo!

Well, it sure wasn't easy, but Pistons came through in 2nd half.  Can't tell you how many times this 76er team folded after halftime.

Atlanta team total over 104.5

Sucks that Atlanta dogged it today.  That game was a total trap from the get go.  Memphis has been playing quite a few high scoring games as of late but the pace of this game was ugly and slooooow.  Atlanta was clubbin' too much Friday night and just did not care to do much but go through the motions.  Today was yet another reminder that while NBA can be random any day of the week, on weekends it gets that much more unpredictable!

Keep in mind only 4 $$$$'s per week.  Many of us including myself have already used all of our $$$$'s for the week (I am tracking this on the spreadsheet).  This will reset on Monday and everyone will go back to having 4 available for the week.  Challenge yourself to try and earn a Golden $$$$.

We have had two Golden $$$$'s earned this week. Both of the players below can choose to use a 5th $$$$ tomorrow if they see fit.  If not, no harm and congratulations on going 4-0 for the week as there were many of us "tailers" that won money and want to say Thanks!

All you hear about is UVA and Defense...  DEFENSE !!!  UNC can play defense as well.  Big time win as I expected.  Paige put a bear trap on Brogdon

Any team can play defense from time to time, but few teams make it a season long priority like Virginia.  That was the main point people were making, and the season stats show it.  Congrats to UNC though, they deserve to win regular season and ACC tourney championship.

Bubba. You are doing a great job keeping this thread going. I have to say, I really like the 4 $$$$ limit per week. This challenges all of us to really know our teams and to make our picks count. For me, since I joined two weeks ago, I have averaged only 2 $$$$ per week.

This thread, while not a picking contest, forces all of us to do our research and make solid plays. The insight that I gain from this forum is more beneficial than I could have ever imagined.

I encourage everyone out there to really focus on the quality of your picks. It makes for a great forum.
