Ive seen so much West Virginia this year and feel like this is a game they will lose. To me Gonzaga is better on both ends of the court. West Virginia looked good against a smaller and more finesse team in Notre Dame, but the Zags are for more versatile and have size. They can play bully ball with West Virginia. I look for Nigel Williams-Goss to dictate the tempo and lead Mark Few one step closer to his first Final Four. WVU is good but I think they're a little overrated and lack a go to scorer. GL

Notre Dame's guards are pretty good too. Monte Morris was one of the best pg's but he failed twice to handle that pressure.... how do the Zags even handle pressure in general? What tough defenses have they yet to encounter?

NWG has a TO% of 15, Mathews 9.2 look for those two to be bringing it up. The problem is Perkins who's at 24 and Williams at 16.4 not going to be easy but NWG has experience. Collins has seen more minutes this tourney than Karnowski. Few has gotten Zack and Tillie more minutes the last few games. Also look for Melson to help with the ball handling. WVU has a weakness against the 3 ranking 183 in the country in defending it. Zags shoot at 37% from beyonf the arc. That's where they have to win it. Beat the press, get it inside for the kick out. If Karnowski and Collins can get the inside game going then all the better.

Their scouting report is a bit skewed but according to KenPom Zags only turn the ball over 16% of the time, which is 26th in the country. Again, its a bit skewed considering they play in the WCC. Will WVU be able to score with Gonzaga? Their bread is buttered offensively with the offensive rebound and I think they will have a tough time getting a lot of second chance opportunities due to the size of Gonzaga. WVU is primarily a jump shooting team that lacks a traditional post up scorer. If they aren't turning over Gonzaga and getting out in transition I think they are going to have a tough time in the half court vs Gonzaga's defense.

Arizona is a good defensive team as is Saint Mary's who they beat handedly 3 times. They also beat Florida. Iowa state got bullied by West Virginia twice because of their lack of size and rebounding ability. Gonzaga has good depth in the front court so I think they can limit West Virginia on the offensive glass. My issue with West Virginia is their inconsistencies on offense and I that will ultimately be their Achilles heel. I'm just not as high on WVU as most people.

Very true if few can't make his first final four with this team. He shouldn't probably just hang it up. Team is built for the 6 game run. And as for pressure. I'm not to worried about Williams-goss just play him 40 . The thing is wvu shot the ball better in this tourney than they did anytime this season I feel like, I mean the big 10 tourney they couldn't find the hoop. I think they should cool off get back to reality, we will see

Gonzaga is a legit team .. no doubt .. I just feel like a bigger team such as they are ... this could be their worst nightmare ... buggy has a real hungry team and a good stradgy... I'm pretty torn .. I will probably take the points and the quickness of W.V.

Alright folks. I have said it before and I'll say it again. No one in here. Not one of you watch as much West Coast Conference Basketball as I do.
I have seen Gonzaga in person 3x this year, all 3 times in the Bay Area. This team is unbelievably deep. They use a lineup of about 8-10 players consistently.
Meanwhile West Virginia pretty much uses 6 guys Macon, Adrian, Ahmad, Carter, Miles Jr. and Phillip....The other guys are lucky to see 2-4 min on the court. Why would that type of team wear out Gonzaga?
Tomorrow, I will be at SAP Center in San Jose. I am excited as a fan of the Zags to hopefully see them pull of this win against West Virginia. This is the best Zags team in history. And they are more than capable of not only beating West Virginia, but also beating AZ/Xavier and most likely a meeting with Kansas or UNC in the National Championship!

Was the BYU game one of those games you attended in the Bay Area because if so their size didn't help them much when their undefeated season was destroyed at home. The dept of Zags was exposed in that game. Their defense was horrible at allowed one of the highest scoring games of the season.
Bottom line Zags like to run and rely on offenses to make mistakes. WVU slows down the game on offense and allows offenses to make mistakes with the pressure.

Oh I'm betting the ML on Gonzaga, staying away from the -3.
And as for the person talking about BYU beating Gonzaga. That same BYU team lost to Pepperdine, USD and Santa Clara on the road this year. It was what I like to call a squirrel finding a nut moment, and yes I did lose pretty big money on that game.

Gl, but im not touching this game, because WV pressure and just playong tougher competition i think WV could sneak out a win.
If max58 were on Gonzaga you would jump all over it
Not all over it, but maybe cpl shuckles, since i have some extra money in my pockets, same with MACWESTIE if he took WVU, as of now i do like the under

Really. Im from there and have watched every single Zags game. Seen them in person in SD, Pepperdine, Santa Clara, AZ, Iowa state, San Francisco, Florida, and of course in the kennel. Have been to over 100 Zags games in the last 5 years alone. Pretty sure I got ya beat.

This is patently false. WV is one of the deepest teams in the country. Yes, the rotation was unusually short vs ND but that was an anonmaly. Just take a look at the season mpg and compare with Gonzaga. All this is before we take into account the "blowout effect" of Gonzaga's mpg distribution considering their strength of schedule

Monte Morris had 3 turnovers in 3 games vs West Va. He failed to handle the press?
Zags have not faced pressure all year. They have guys that can theoretically handle the pressure, but we haven't seen it yet. Up to whoever bets on the game whether they think the Zags can handle it or not.
