Despite the avatar, I'm not a huge Aztecs fan so let's get that out of the way.

SDSU is the better team here, but it's going to be very tough for them to get a win in that atmosphere. The Marriott center is one of the craziest places in the nation on gameday and the Cougars play so well at home.

I heard Dave Rose yesterday on ESPN Radio elaborating about his concern for the rebounding advantage, which will be ridiculously swayed toward the visitor.

D.J. Gay should be the man to guard Emery while it would be an absolute battle to watch the most versatile player in America guard the best shooter. Kawhi Leonard is a long, lanky player who can bring the ball up the floor and probably could play the 5 against this BYU team because they don't have much on the interior. That just shows his flexibility because a deep frontcourt should take advantage of BYU's frontline from the jump. If Leonard doesn't guard Fredette or gets in foul trouble like he normally doesn't do, I guess we see Tapley or Rahon on Jimmer and I still think they can stay with him.

SDSU is extremely deep in the frontcourt and the only real chinks in their armor involve shooting. Rahon has been a huge addition to the 3pt shooting after sitting out last year along with Gay's 42%, yet the FTs are the big concern. For the year, the Aztecs sit at 67% which is below average, but better than it has been.

-Team can play fast and slow, will outrebound anyone in the country, they have a coach who won an NCAA championship and they are deep, at 30/1? Are you f-ing kidding? I had seen it at 38/1, but I didn't get to it in time, and so i've lost a little bit of the number but this is unbelievable.

Great write up and analysis. Tend to agree with just about all of it. Aztecs are the better all around team. Plenty of experience, shouldn't be rattled by the atmosphere.

I had my buddy look @ the price on them to win it all when he was out there for the CES show (1st w/e of NFL playoffs). Books in the desert have already dropped them to around 20-1. I couldn't believe they were getting that much love.

Nice card 2day Warner and SDSU is a nice call 4 the Championship, they have the pieces in place and are 1 of the favorites but don't think they will take it down, they will be in the Final Four though, GL Dude

Seems you brought up some interesting point in regards to the total. BYU has been the over nuts this year, and no one has really slowed their offense. That said, SDSU is the best defensive team they have played and they SHOULD slow the game as much as possible and take advantage of their frontline, although they have the athletes the run with most teams if they wanted to.

The total shot up at open, but now at 146, I am leaning under. While that New Mexico game worries me (DJ Gay also couldn't miss from 3), you have the UNLV game where the Aztecs got back in transition and forced the Rebels into a half-court game. As long as BYU isn't giving up too many easy putbacks on the offensive glass, I think SDSU slows the pace enough to keep it under.

I sorta agree, but I still think E'Twaun and JaJuan can give people a ton of problems when combined with good defense that they didn't play last night

I think SDSU dictates tempo and wins, but it can get out of hand fast if BYU hits their shots. Don't know if I could stomach an under in the Marriott Center until Emery/Fredette graduate
